I wish I had thought to keep it for something, but alas, to the trash it went. The queen accepts your adoration and would like to report a complaint: It's almost time for another brushing like this.
midgetqueen1987
The incomprehensible cute aggression noises I just made. She was such a good model! A sweet baby.
midgetqueen1987
What did you type in to find this gif?! I just needed it and failed to find it.
midgetqueen1987
Don't pin this on me. It must be bunnies.
midgetqueen1987
Honestly I'm on a gab high right now trying to control a flare so this was a delight. 😁
midgetqueen1987
Hell yeah, good for you. I didn't want to give advice because everywhere is so different, but I'm glad you are up their ass.
midgetqueen1987
No worries! It seemed like an easily fixable formatting issue. Just been a long day and my brain couldn't parse it as initially posted.
Anyway, wooooow, that is absolute horseshit indeed. I'm so sorry you now have a(nother I'm guessing) doctor who doesn't take you seriously about your pain. The only actually helpful thing I can think of is if you have prior records from either them or another provider before HRT that also mention chronic pain. Unfortunately not sure what recourse you have for the pretty obvious discrimination, but at least hopefully you can get the care you need to live in less pain. Good luck!

I'm coming back to finish this later because the formatting gave me a migraine almost instantly, but I'm truly interested to read more.

Someone mentioned this elsewhere, and it's a great setting I'm sure a lot of people aren't aware of. Thank you! At the time I was home in bed, with my notifications set up the way I need them to be for safety reasons, which includes letting texts/calls come through so they wake me up in case of emergency. Discord and all my other apps get muted for sleep time, so fortunately game chat has never been an issue until now.
Thanks again!

It wasn't originally, and I appreciated all the suggestions (and said so) even if they weren't applicable, but the Discord context has been added since before you made this comment, so the info is now there and people (not meaning you, you were cool) have still been arguing with me about something I've already clarified both in replies to their comments and in the post itself.
I made a TLDR at the end so the context is all together. Thanks, and happy gaming!
midgetqueen1987
Not when you can't set your phone to do not disturb as is mentioned in the post.

That's a weird looking bunny, but I love him. I hope he gets lots of good rest with his human.
midgetqueen1987
Just finished watching a movie with no issues. Best of luck!

I do mute non-essential apps during the night, including those used for game. My player has specific expectations on how they're supposed to contact me regarding game (Discord) and they didn't follow those directions. Them breaking the agreed upon rules honestly has nothing to do with the fact that I need to have calls and texts left on ring, because they shouldn't be calling or texting about game in the first place, much less at that hour.
midgetqueen1987
Most of it is about having that empathy and emotional intelligence to understand the people around you. For several of these social circles in the comments, texting in the middle of the night is clearly fine. That's totally cool for them, but that's just not the case in my friend groups, and people don't text each other at odd hours without good reason. It's a matter of mutual respect. I've blown people up in the middle of the night because I was depressed or stressed or whatever, but it is always within the confines of the social contract we have with each other.
midgetqueen1987
It's okay. Not everyone sees things the same way. It's admittedly weird that people are getting hung up on how I need to have my phone set up and not the fact that a player explicitly ignored the communication rules of the game, but different people have different priorities. I did manage to get a short nap eventually, and I get to play in someone else's game on Monday, so I'm quite excited for that. If you are a player, please tell you DM a random internet stranger says you deserve an inspiration (or the equivalent). Take care!
midgetqueen1987
Thank you! Fortunately I do already have things set up for the group in Discord. Everyone in the party has always contacted me about anything game related over Discord, and the player could DM me there if they didn't want to discuss things in front of the group, which they have done before with questions. Instead, the player subverted the agreed upon means of communication and texted me in the middle of the night about something frivolous when they knew I was already in bed and wasn't feeling well.
midgetqueen1987
Some people are getting stuck on the issue of phone notifications and missing the point that a player violated the social contract set forth by the DM. There's a lot of room for interpretation in any given social situation, so I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but it's a pretty clear example of someone not following the group rules.
midgetqueen1987
My notification settings aren't the issue. The problem is the player didn't want to follow the rules. I was clear and up front about proper communication and that direction wasn't followed. When you set a social expectation with someone, regardless of what it is, and they just straight up ignore it, that's disrespectful.
The DM set a rule. The player didn't follow it.
midgetqueen1987
I'm neither stupid nor unique nor special. I have my phone set up the way it needs to be for the reasons it needs to be set up that way. I communicated to my players the correct way to reach me regarding game questions. This player completely ignored that request and contacted me at a time when I said I was not available via a method of communication that I asked them not to use for game. That's the problem. I set the expectation, and they chose not to follow it.
midgetqueen1987
I know this isn't universally applicable, but I did manually set up the Do Not disturb settings on my Android. They were not on by default.
midgetqueen1987
Agreed. I don't know how other people have their phones set up, and I am not entitled to the hours of their day when I am reasonably certain they're sleeping. If they tell me I can reach out to them, or if I ask first, that's different. Stuff absolutely happens, but I would rather err on the side of politeness (schedule send, wait to text, etc.) because that's what we do as kind respectful humans. If it can wait until morning for them to see it, it can wait until morning for me to send it.
midgetqueen1987
That's super cool! Thank you!
Be ready to be featured on r/murderbuns for this!
Super cute! They're such good babies. I trust you paid them handsomely!
