It's a fair question. Around the same time the US decided to elect the orange rapist, the UK decided it was a great idea to leave the biggest common market in the world, in which it held one of the top 3 most powerful positions, along with Germany and France. That threw the economy into shambles, and as a result, in the 10 years since, the UK been through 7 prime ministers. Basically I don't know who's worse, you or us. You guys voted for a moron that might destroy your economy, we cut the middle man and did it ourselves.

It's not a UK thing, there's a global trend to push back against knowledge, and experts. The whole thing started with Trump's election (and to a degree, Brexit), which kick-started what's being called the post-truth era. With this you see a rise of moon landing deniers, flat earthers, holocaust deniers, etc...

I really don't understand how Labour doesn't see that they can't out-Reform on Reform, and keep jumping on Reforms rhetoric and instead of addressing real issues go after the boats, and are pushing for state surveillance. Of course they fail because people who are into that have Reform to vote for, and the ones that don't, are searching for an alternative, and apparently (and IMO hopefully) finding it in the Greens.

That last one seems a bit out of place, although to be fair now that they're grifting the Americans there's more reason to actually just be indifferent to them, but I see no reason why anyone would like a couple of obscenely rich grifters.

My comment is a joke on Sunaki having replied to a journalist trying to make the point that he had a hard upbringing because he was the only one in his group of friends that didn't have the paid Sky channels. This has since become a running joke, to the point where even Sky ran some ads playing on the idea that not having the paid Sky channels is having it rough. So I really don't get it how this one can go over anyone's head in a UK subreddit, unless you're really so young that you can't remember the guy who was prime minister just a couple of years ago.

The reason I'm saying it's not both:

1. The laptop has a trackpad, doesn't need another pointing device, yet it has a mouse. Also the mouse is not something that was taken out of the laptop to make it slimmer, if anything adding the trackpad makes it less slim.

2. I've never heard of a laptop without speakers, and yet, external speakers.

3. The laptop has a CD player, this is not the 90s, no one is listening to music on CDs.

4. There's an external storage device, SSDs are very small, and don't actually get bigger when capacity increases. Quite the opposite, the more storage capacity, the smaller the lithography. So internal storage is also not a thing that is affected by slimness.

So there's really no external accessories in that image that are required.

People are calling the OP thick (not disagreeing there), but the amount of people who do what's in that image and don't realise the obvious thing that they're doing is enormous. I'm on the stream deck sub reddit, and I've seen people taking external screens and controllers with them on flights, to use with the steam deck. It's ridiculous.
