YA has more to do with the ages and spiciness. The characters aren't immature. It's a very intriguing story

This is correct. If you've been qualified for Medicare prior to 2020, you qualify for F and G during a guaranteed-issue period.
F is a smidge better but not by much. It really depends on what plans are actually open and how much they are. Also check for the high deductible plans if you're likely to go through your medical costs by the middle of the year (or even October). Finally when you call around you need to be very clear you're under 65 and in a guaranteed issue period. Definitely use your state/county's SHIP program information. Medicare.gov will have a similar list. Unfortunately they both tend to be slightly out of date (I found).
While comparing plans, take the deductible ÷ 12. Add the result to the monthly premium of each plan.

They absolutely do, for people on SSDI. As I JUST went through this, using the SHIP program and Medicare.gov itself.

You are qualified for Plan F AND Plan G (but not at the same time) if you started Medicare prior to 2020. Also once you pick a plan you are committed to it until the next possible guaranteed issue circumstance arises.
You will need to call the list of available plans. If you're under 65, be sure to specify that and specify that you have a guaranteed issue right now. Make sure and do the math on High deductible plans as well. Many of them (but not all of them) are MUCH cheaper. If like me, you usually hit the deductible early to mid year, they may be a good way to go.
I just went through this in July. I am under 65, on SSDI, and have been qualified for Medicare well before 2020.

Federal guaranteed issue applies to anyone on Medicare (SSDI for sure). It is an integrated part of Medicare.
Could you be thinking of Medicaid, which is a different program with different laws?

This is phrased accurately.

Ham is processed vs ultra-processed. It's cured and as long as it's salt and sugar for preservation, it's not terrible.
Bacon goes through slightly more curing but it's still not necessarily "ultra-processed".
Ultra-processed denotes a complete transformation from it's starting state (shredded, molded, with chemicals added). It would include pepperoni, most sausages, most chicken nuggets, big-chain hamburgers, breakfast sausage.

They used my ILTB 36 years ago. I fell a few times several years later (walking on flat surfaces 😂). After one bad they did another MRI and there was nothing left. They used an allograft the second time for the same knee. Had another really bad fall from a ladder several years later. MRI showed there was nothing left -- again.
I suspect my case is a bit unusual.

So basically your saying at this point our government is dangerous and we should be too cowardly to protest on the premise that we'll somehow remain safe in our homes and jobs, and things definitely won't get worse.

I wish you well. Biologics didn't even exist when I was first diagnosed. I've been on several biologics: Enbrel (allergy), Remicade (9 years), Simponi (15 years), and 4 years ago tried Tremfya (failed after 6 months) and Taltz (failed after 6 months). I'm sticking to Simponi for now.
Right now I've had to cut my methotrexate substantially due to liver counts spiking. I'm having a ton of cervical and lumbar/SI spinal problems that my doctors say aren't PsA. Which is a stupid thing to hear. If it's not PsA, seems awfully weird that it's affecting those particular two spots. Bleh...

I'm really surprised you're on two at the same time.
One) most rheumatologists wait too long to start people on even one biologic, two) most rheumatologists are leery about immune system collapse when people are on more than one biologic and finally) does insurance even cover that?

I think the broader problem is the general public is so undereducated on the topic that they just automatically write it off as a sign of "craziness".
Trans people rights' to use public restrooms is WAY more important and relevant and immediate. This is an issue of fundamental humanity. Until uneducated cis women understand that they're more safe (not less) if trans people can use public restrooms, the sports issue is a non-starter for too many Americans (and in most other countries too).
Most people just aren't there... 🫂

Completely agree with this!
Additionally I found that it can be difficult to distinguish between an "agent" and a "broker". Some of the terminology is intentionally subtle but different enough to make an impact in the end result.

The Medicare guidelines for California and the plans are completely dependent on zip code/county. I tried different counties and they were not the same plans available, so it may vary by state.
While independent brokers have a lot of good information, they're also paid by various insurers to sell plans. Supplemental plans have more government protections but some brokers will push MA plans instead. The SHIP volunteers are not legally accountable but the brokers aren't either. Even Medicare.gov assistants are not legally liable and are not supposed to provide 'advice'.
People should definitely use ALL of the resources they can get, but you're correct that they should be aware of who is and is not "legal liable" and for what particular information.
It's a shitty and very fragile system. So every single component of it is YMMV.
You're mostly right. It is largely dependent on what policies are sold in the state and that it varies by state. But if you live in a state that has that protection, then you do qualify for the guaranteed-issue guidelines.
Federal vs. State Medigap Rules for Under 65 • Under Federal Law: Insurers are not required to sell Medigap policies to people under 65, and they can use medical underwriting or charge much higher rates unless the person is in a specific federal protection period (such as turning 65).
