Haven’t used it consistently enough to get any issues like that, but still works perfectly when I do use it over the Zowie.

It’s a very unique shape but I’ve not been able to put it down since buying it, feels amazing to me and nothing I’ve tried since compares (aside from the ATK U2 which is less than half the price). I got mine replaced as it randomly started clicking (not double clicking, strange issue) a month or two ago but Zowie sent me a brand new replacement under manufacturers warranty. Other than the clicking issue I had no scroll wheel or other button issues, I’d say it’s worth the price to have the level of customer support where you can have a brand new unit sent to you after almost two years of use.

The sheath feels a lot bulkier in hand but the texture is really nice. Sadly I had to get rid of mine and swap to the paragon after a day of use cause I was getting a sore red mark on my pinky from the texture.. paragon feels grippy enough with the grips built into the sides and usability is incredible because of the tapered edges.

mocolewire

I usually use the Zowie because it feels that bit nicer, currently having to RMA my Zowie as it’s started clicking randomly so been using the ATK and honestly have no complaints, been playing exactly the same as I do on the Zowie but can’t really give a long term ATK review as it’s not been used an awful lot.

Haven’t been playing too much the past couple of months, but I swap between the ATK and my Zowie regularly with no noticeable difference in performance. I tend to favour my Zowie because I’ve got corepads on it and there aren’t aftermarket skates for the ATK as far as I’m aware, and I HATE dots.

Yeah I mean I think you should go for the OLED - the LG one looks super clean and is probably cheaper than the AQN in your country? the AQN is £580 brand new in the UK, and I got the LG 480Hz for £590.

mocolewire

If I was buying a new monitor and they were the same price I would probably buy the OLED, but after owning both I prefer the peace of mind knowing I am not going to get burn-in, and the slightly better text rendering on IPS vs OLED. You can tune the colours on the OLED to get a great picture obviously, but it's just the way OLED's have their pixels laid out makes text quality worse at 1440p.

Motion clarity was very similar with ULMB 2 on vs the 480Hz OLED, sharpness was very similar.

My monitor gets direct sunlight on it during the day as well which is why the high brightness of the AQN is better for me.

I would say the AQN as the best compromise for performance without the drawbacks of OLED.

mocolewire

I liked the OLED a lot but ended up selling it to a friend and keeping my AQN because the performance difference just wasn’t worth it for me personally.

Have you had a chance to put it on the scale? My one doesn’t have any of the issues yours does :( I absolutely loved the shape of the U2-DW and nothing comes close for me anymore aside from the ATK clone so I think we’re in a different boat there haha

mocolewire

Damn that’s a shame, hope it doesn’t INSTANTLY sell out like the travel kit used to

mocolewire

Oh really? From the wording on the site I thought it meant you can only use the LS100 with the travel kit installed? The parts that would have to be flipped look fairly symmetrical :(

mocolewire

Yeah fair enough, I’m the opposite haha, much prefer mech switches! Interested to see the weigh in of the master

mocolewire

Extremely similar size, feels completely natural to me and I hardly notice I’m using a difference mouse (been using the U2 exclusively for over a year)
