It's really tough to displace incumbents without a huge war chest, and Thompson has so much name recognition. Krissan did pretty well coming in second for a first time. Needs a lot more mobilisation. I've not seen any other lawn signs for Krissan on private property, only public areas. And I had to drive over to their office to pick up a sign for myself.

they're asking whether the game has freedom of movement along the z-axis (like final fight, streets of rage) or if the one-dimension means you have multiple lanes like in Fatal Fury or Guardian Heroes where you can jump between each lane but they function as separate axes for characters and enemies.

A few points.

1) the utility would be spun off under a provincial act (water and wastewater public Corp act), which allows the province to appoint a board and approve prices, rather than the city (whether the province does this or not, and who the province appoints, is unanswered)

2) the purpose of this seems to be in pursuit of reducing household bills by 25%. Currently part of the revenue is used to fund future projects. Bradford is proposing financing the project via debt vs savings.

I personally feel that's incredibly shortsighted. If you can save money to put towards a purchase without incurring debt, there are few scenarios where taking on debt would be the better option over the long run. If there were projects that are critical and weren't being done, then I can see this as an emergency measure. Alternately if that loan is used to build capital (i.e. Take out a mortgage to invest in a hot stock market), then also sure. But seems like the only purpose is to be able to borrow now. Seems like that would be a future albatross that is very shortsighted.

Won't get into whether it is true privatization or simply run as an arms-length utility, since I don't know the organization would be run differently (if at all) from Toronto Hydro (which has a 100 yr history as a public utility), but the potential for provincial vs municipal conflicts at the board level (plus the actual math on interest on the debt) feels like something we'll look back at as a blunder.

When things aren't going well for ppl, they want change. Unfortunately change can be positive or negative - and those ppl often don't scrutinize the candidate offering change.

If you have any interest in physical games, Morrison Robot Factory and Emerald Echoes are two that I've played recently with a great narrative and interesting puzzles with physical components. Better than Unlocked and Exit games, but also pricey (but also reset-able for resale/lending/gifting).

That's pretty much his signature move that he does once per game.

Ppl need to have enough spare time to be informed. There are enough ppl who don't have time in their day, jumping between jobs and responsibilities that only see headlines and soundbites.

You can consider it ignorance, but not necessary willful. Just low on the list of priorities in their lives.
