Once had someone who didn’t get a job offer after his interview email me to demand that I remove all trace of his application from our systems. He signed off “With no regards”. Which was nice.

Cheers.

I don't think he had one? When he was in the car with Kate, she had hers, and he wasn't wearing one.

I don't have them, but my husband, who is on MY friends and family account, does. It's massively frustrating. NYT haven't even bothered replying to my queries about it.

I thought it was about the number of vowels in a row, so my answer would have been onomatopoeia…!<
I guess that would be a VCM decision as to whether that’s a sequence…

Or perfectly cooked but not enough of it.

Standing basically naked in front of a hospital nurse who was applying treatment and bandages to my chronic eczema. She suddenly said “Haven’t you got lovely skin?” “Erm, no, I have really shit skin, that’s why I was admitted to this dermatology ward.” She said “Yeah, in between the scabs, though, it’s lovely.”

My favourite ‘inappropriate’ moment, though, was my GP, when I walked into his office with a major acute eczema flare. “You must be well pissed off.”

Did the painting in picture 14 suck all the colour from the house? It is just taunting me.

I want to downvote this because it’s wrong, and upvote it because it’s funny. So I’ll just move on.

NTA. It makes complete sense that you shouldn't pay for everyone else's drinking. That said, I have some questions!

Why were your costs the same as half the group - what are the other half paying?

We have a regular holiday with some friends, and we rate drinkers and split the booze bill accordingly. (0= teetotal/pregnant up to 3=total pisshead).

One caveat to that would be now that non-alcoholic versions of so many beers/ciders are available and basically as expensive as booze. Were you just drinking soft drinks/water?

This assumes you are not only supported by train gods, but also plane arrival time gods, airport departure gods, tube gods, and NHM queuing time gods. Even then, it's pretty tight.

Possibly at the higher end of your age range, but all of Katherine Rundell. Particularly The Explorer, The Wolf Wilder and Rooftoppers. I loved those three, and would still re read them myself.

You’re a weird guy, Kenneth.

moodyfloss

Me too!

Neither is worth visiting as a tourist attraction.

One week in London, you’re always going to miss things. I’ve lived here for 20 years and there are things I haven’t seen and done.
This itinerary looks exhausting. You need to prioritise what’s most important for this trip, and also try to give yourself more free time. Some of the best things about London are the ones you stumble on just wandering around.

Where is their stuff? It’s a gorgeous house, but I have so much stuff, it wouldn’t look like that for long. Let kids have toys and mess and colour and let adults have books and photos and stuff.

Those of us who remember getting Vienetta before it was on KFC menus knew it was the height of sophistication.
I remember getting it at my Grandma’s house and thinking it was incredible. KFC didn’t get it until the 90s.

We had a barbecue at my wedding, and for desserts, I’d asked for barbecued fruit skewers, with ice cream, brandy snap baskets and meringue nests. I have a nut allergy, and so did several other guests. The venue had repeatedly been made aware of this, and we’d designed a bespoke menu. On the day, one of the ice creams on offer was green. My brother, knowing i have a nut allergy, and therefore assuming it would be mint flavour, ate some and thereby triggered his own allergy. It was pistachio - which, it later transpired, is what they usually serve with the brandy snap. He had to use my medicine, but was thankfully okay. I wouldn’t completely trust a venue, even when I could see. Trust your senses.

I’m only a week behind you, but same!

It does have an oddly shaped garden, which is smaller than a lot of the others. Assuming you’re looking at yellow houses, 31 is similar with the bigger more rectangular outside space? I’d also want to know what the grey shapes on the corner are. Are they bin stores?

But £2m less than it first went back on the market for…

Your family are the weirdos. But in a truly wonderful way.
