you need a dynamic purging strategy. Instead of appending everything, use a conversation summarizer step, strictly prune system prompts between task shifts, or enforce metadata tagging so agents only pull what's active.

I actually dropped a video today breaking down Context Architecture and why overstuffing the context window destroys AI agent efficiency. It covers exactly how to optimize that signal-to-noise ratio to save tokens. Check it out: https://youtu.be/EN4GaCSvu_Y?si=p7Tr2LqhIAC_D6y5

For basic tasks, models infer intent so well now that rigid templates aren't needed.
But "prompt engineering" isn't dead it just evolved. It’s no longer about how you ask, but what you feed the model. The real skill now is context engineering: curating the right data, managing context windows, and structuring knowledge bases so the model has the perfect reference points.
They still struggle with long-horizon planning and true novelty, making context control crucial.
I actually just dropped a quick video breaking down this shift to context engineering and the skills that matter now. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/EN4GaCSvu\_Y?si=a-NCAW7vc7idMgh\_
