You got this man! Episodes are shitty, but you know that the bad shit is temporary and will pass, just like this dumb DDOS :)

I'm the GM of a guild called <Dept of Redundancy Dept>, one of the best guild names on the server IMO but I may be a bit biased

Dept of Redundancy Dept | Horde | Bigglesworth-PvP | Tues/Thu | Tentative 6:00PM-9:00ish PM PST | Casual/Semi-hardcore

About us: A mixture of private server raiders, retail Cata-quitters, and new players getting together for Classic. This is a fresh guild focused on building a thriving community of mature players who respect that a lot of us have active lives outside of WoW and don't necessarily live in mom's basement. A few of us intend to race our way to 60 with occasional stops to dance on a mailbox, and others will spend loads of time strolling through zones with a gank here and there. Loot council will be used for important/critical items for progression, but most other drops will be free roll. Officer positions will fill as the guild gains traction. Discord is linked below for those who are interested in joining.

Expectations: Seeking like-minded adults who want to have fun in a sarcastic environment peppered with dad jokes and profanity. Those who intentionally promote racism, bigotry, homophobia, transphobia or general edgelord-ery can fuck right off. We're ultimately looking for people intending to be long-term players, but we would also love to hang out with those who want help others succeed in between bouts of standing around in Org playing Peggle. Whether you love PVP or PVE, come be a part of building a community from the ground up!

Raid schedule: Main raids Tues/Thurs - 6:00PM to 9:00ish PM PST (9:00PM to 12:00ish PM EST). Raid times will solidify once main raid members are identified.

Recruitment: All roles and classes are welcome. Play whatever’s fun, and we’ll figure out raid roles as we recruit and level.

If you're interested, our discord can be found here: Discord: https://discord.gg/cybwgtV

Sweet. Looking forward to it.

Not many yet. A few WOTLK friends of mine, and some friends of friends with various experience with Warcraft. The recruitment message and Discord were just created today, so this is a super fresh guild!

mrholyhire

Dang, must have linked it incorrectly. Here ya go!

!RemindMe 11 days

I am SO pumped for it. I can't wait for how hectic the initial log on will be. Knowing that we're all starting on a fresh server with no established economy, no high-level characters coming to gank popular questing areas (at least for a few days anyway), and everyone gunning for the world/server first records.

I've got a few days of PTO scheduled for the launch, and I know I won't be the only one stockpiling energy drinks :)

Hope y'all have a good day!

I used to work in customer service for a nutritional MLM, and was a commission analyst at another MLM before that. It was common knowledge to all of the CSRs around me that almost nobody would actually be able to profit from these companies, save the executives who ran it and the very few people who were able to get in on the ground floor (CEO's wife has some rich friend who's interested in selling vitamins or jewelry or whatever). Hell, a lot of them have special customer service lines specifically for the 2% of their distributors who actually make anything.

From a first hand perspective as a CSR who worked at one that sold vitamins and a shitload of other food related items, nutritional MLMs are EXTREMELY predatory and heavily rely upon old individuals for most of their passive income. These are people who forget to cancel their subscriptions every month, or who think that taking capsulized snake oil will help cure their diabetes, cure their cancer, fix their joints, help their chronic pain... it just goes on and on. It is sickening to take a call and listen to someone in their eighties order $300 worth of utter garbage.

Very few people actually come out on top in any MLM, whether it's purses or makeup or jewelry, or pet products. You can't control what people will spend their money on. But if you have a family member who is participating in a nutritional MLM (herbalife, youngevity, etc), then please, PLEASE talk to them.

mrholyhire

Holy crap, dude!

mrholyhire

Yes please!

mrholyhire

You absolutely should. These are fantastic, and I'd love to see how you would do a hanar tattoo in this style :D

mrholyhire

Good bot.

mrholyhire

I'm in the same boat, and it's frustrating as hell. Why have someone interview for it if there's more red tape or something blocking the actual hiring? :/

mrholyhire

I'm down!

mrholyhire

No kids here, which makes me realize that this situation could have been much more difficult. I hope you pull through. PM me if you want to talk about anything :)

mrholyhire

God, I can't imagine how rough that must have been. I am so happy to hear that you got out of that toxic situation, and good luck on #3!

mrholyhire

Thank you <3

mrholyhire

Haha, thanks :P

mrholyhire

Thank you for saying this. I really needed to hear this, and I am glad to hear that other people have gone through this and turn out alright on the other side.

Thank you thank you thank you!

mrholyhire

Yeah, I am definitely not looking forward to the conversation. Thank you so much for your support :)
