It is amusing to me that people are so willing to accept self-driving cars everywhere as inevitable yet not as much for an equal level of investment into making public transport better, or even trying to redesign cities to not be so car dependent.
It wouldn't solve traffic as easily as people think either, you just hit a critical mass of single occupant cars trying to go to the same place at the same time.

Wasn't road maintenance privatized/outsourced in Vic?

Mine would be the Barina driver yesterday heading north on the mitchell freeway just before the Hodges off ramp. Tailgating/speeding and generally lane hopping aggressively in roadworks, which is what I normally expect of a lot of aggressive drivers, but this guy decided to squeeze in between me and another driver in separate lanes just to get slightly ahead. Any sudden braking would have lead to a car pileup to be honest.
The funniest part is they still ended up at the same fucking traffic light as me.

Birds killing the young of other birds is hardly a unique trait for Kookaburras. I would argue that the fact they compete with other birds for nesting hollows is a far more serious problem.
It's also quite bizarre that they're a protected species here iirc.

There's a Tactics in Midland? I only knew the one on Barrack St.

Saw him live a few weeks ago with Health and King Yosef, absolutely phenomenal (and that track got played as well).

In my experience it will break the bonds formed by super glue, plastic glues are fine.

Not really anything to suggest it, no. Elster would have been aware of Arianne's paintings in any case.

The 15 minute city conspiracy theory is unnecessary and kind of bizarre honestly. Not needing a car is the opposite of oppression mate.
The majority of people stuck on a gridlocked sure as hell aren't thinking that at least. Being a 15 minute walk from work would be such a huge improvement in everyone's quality of life and it doesn't immediately default to communist apartment blocks like you seem to imply. There's literally no way to convert cities like Perth into something like that without razing half the city all at once, people will need at least one car here for decades.

"Proudly made in Melbourne" is doing some real fuckin' legwork there.
mrscienceguy1
The majority of people that gripe about the right lane are the same types to not practice what they preach tbh. Rules for thee not for me and all that jazz.

Is it really headcanon, though? You can see Elster's organs before she replaces the front chest plate and space-caulks it up prior to Rotfront. You can't really see any skin during that scene or when she tries to open the Penrose, it's just wires and oxidant.
Or consider the MNHR, their body is the suit with a face slapped on it to make it easier to communicate. That face is the only skin Beo has.

Why would you need to clarify you're Aussie? You're literally posting in /r/Australia.
mrscienceguy1
The article mentions literally two "road experts", hardly a convincing total lol
mrscienceguy1
Way too many people are comfortable sitting less than a car length behind others at 100+ km/h, it absolutely would be a disaster without more enforcement of other driving laws.
mrscienceguy1
What, you don't want to respect their god given right to hydroplane at 130km in the rain?
mrscienceguy1
This also includes most people that say stuff like "our drivers are trash".

Oddly enough our department is the only one that doesn't have night shifts lol. We have a morning and afternoon shift (kinda prefer the 6am starts so I can actually get stuff done afterwards). Iirc none of our departments are 24 hours at the moment but our micro/molecular departments are staffed pretty late.

I work in drug testing in pathology and we're still extremely busy.

This is pretty normal for VoV, and has come up every time the vinyl has been reprinted. I think it took mine (first print) almost a year to arrive here in Australia.

Based on how poorly people have understood their post, I'm not surprised Rose Engine has largely avoided interacting with the community.
mrscienceguy1
The northbound Reid Hwy offramp is a good example of this, people cutting into the exit lane and jumping back in at the last minute or driving into the emergency lane to squeeze in.
mrscienceguy1
It's both really.
The only exception for me in the past has been going to Hobbytech, but these days dealing with the "Devil's Gooch" really does make it feel like I'm trying to get to Mordor or something.
