From what I have heard they are very expensive and not very good.
No one goes there for coffee.

such as suggesting hitler was right for what he did
Which, in case anyone forgot, IS WHAT NICK FUENTES ACTUALLY BELIEVES.

There absolutely is something deceptive. It has a giant Sale tag hanging off the shelf.
Would you be fine if every item in the store had sale tags hanging off the shelves, and you had to go through and read to see which are expired and which are still good?
How about this)?
Even though the true facts are subsequently made known to the buyer, the law is violated if the first contact or interview is secured by deception.
mruby7188
It's all part of the same practice.
There is an investigation here by consumer reports.
Idk what to tell you if you don't think it is deceptive to have a tag on something that says "Sale" even though it isn't on sale.
mruby7188
It absolutely does apply, the sale tag being there is deceptive. It is a large yellow tag with SALE and the sale price in giant letters.
Kroger just settled a $17M class action for doing just this and they are still facing class actions in multiple other states.

Deceptive Acts or Practices
An act or practice is deceptive where
- A representation, omission, or practice misleads or is likely to mislead the consumer;
- A consumer’s interpretation of the representation, omission, or practice is considered reasonable under the circumstances; and
- The misleading representation, omission, or practice is material.

Legally it can be considered "deceptive pricing". Even in the cases where it is legal, it is short sighted to not honor the price. After you point out the expired tag, they will either; 1) pull the tag so no one else gets the expired sale price, 2) pull the tag and deny you the discount and risk losing a customer over a few dollars, or 3) they keep it up and keep denying people the sale price, in which case they are engaging in deceptive pricing.
mruby7188
That's funny, because when I was a cashier I was told to give it to them at that price but then make sure someone pulls the tag.
mruby7188
Doesn't matter, it is deceptive pricing if they don't give you the price.
The "valid until" line is so they know when to pull the tag.
mruby7188
That's the point...
mruby7188
Protip: if the tag is still up the price is valid.
It doesn't matter what the expiration date for the sale is, if the tage on the shelf says that price they have to honor it.
It will cause a delay at the checkout line, and you do have to check the price at checkout/you still have to know the exp date since the POS usually updates separately, but they do have to give you the price at the register.

Every time I read NWSL, my brain says "Oh yeah the Northwest Soccer League". Usually shortly followed by something like "Why is Boston playing Washington DC in the Northwest Soccer League?".
mruby7188
Which federal law are they violating and how?

First of all, I don't think many people here are that sad Howard Shultz is leaving.
Second, Howard Shultz is not the CEO of Starbucks and hasn't been for a few years. Also he has a net worth of 3.4 Billion, not income. Since he is no longer the CEO of Starbucks I'm not sure he has any income.

The biggest factor in critical thinking isn't ability, it's desire. You have to want to be able to be proven wrong, something lots of people lack.
mruby7188
Must have missed an update.
mruby7188
If you're so excited to leave what's keeping you?

Not right now, HWY 2 is closed from Skykomish.

What I should have said is that Shaken Baby Syndrome is not always due to actual child abuse.
mruby7188
Ours is like a teenage boy. If you are scratching too high she will not so subtly push your hand down towards her belly
mruby7188
Similarly "Shaken Baby Syndrome" is largely based on junk science.
Yeah, but either way if you want "good" coffee, I think you would be able to get equally good coffee elsewhere for cheaper.
