Physical always, if the game is only digital I'll look to buy the cheaper option, usually it's the one available on Steam. If someone have a financial emergency and need to make some quick cash by selling your console, well, this person will lose every penny spent on digital purchases. Also, as we all know, there's no refunding on PSN.
Just bought a brand new physical copy of Horizon Forbidden West (PS4) on retail for about 67% of the digital version price. Trading with the community plays a big part too. In the possible event of selling my PS4 I can also sell my physical game collection and make some extra cash for the games, or give some as presents to other players.
