There are more words about Black-only policies and Indigenous land acknowledgments than about the actual job. So fucked up.

Addicts aren't allowed to feel bad about themselves! Didn't you read? It's a human rights violation.

It starts with ‘reconciliation’ and ‘harmless’ land acknowledgements before every speech, and eventually ends with property owners questioning their private rights and potentially losing them. At what point will Aboriginals say they have been reconciled?

"Our goal is to create a building that embodies a diverse and inclusive artistic vision while ensuring financial sustainability within a fixed budget," wrote VAG CEO Anthony Kiendl in a statement.

what the hell is a "diverse and inclusive artistic vision"???? What a load of baloney. No wonder this project ballooned to 50% over budget.

Yes, agreed. I was more highlighting how lopsided tradeoffs have been for the last years. It does feel like things are shifting back, which gives us hope.

The activists have a perfect argument where you're always framed as inhumane, fascist, etc if you dare mention how crazy the situation has gotten.

Moreover almost none of these advocates have to deal with the problem day-to-day and get to live far from it.

Clear it all out. Bulldoze it. Start again. This is getting out of hand.

Welcome to any team dedicated sub when there's a losing drought. You'll get hundreds of people complaining and then a thread saying everyone calm down you're overreacting. Rinse and repeat.
