Stress.

Systemic disease is systemic.

This is usually caused by costochondritis which is very common in AS. Inflammation makes your ribs sore and sometimes, sort of, "sit up" or get pushed out of place due to the build up of fluid in the inflamed areas. NSAID gel and heat pads generally work best.

Clockwise (1986)

"safe for use with the public" ahahahahahahahaha…

Simultaneously, half a meter of ulcerative colitis from a Crohn's disease flare, 35 years of Ankylosing Spondylitis damage and a fully herniated L4/5 extrusion which had impinged and displaced my sciatic nerve roots along with a syndesmophyte from the AS. I had lumbar decompression surgery while I had the colitis. It all happened in December 2019 at the beginning of Covid. I had to live with it all for a year before I got any treatment/surgery. Lying flat in the MRI scanner for 40 minutes was truly horrific.

I also have bi-lateral hip replacements, waking up before surgery had completed was also a pretty painful experience (back in 1993 when hip replacement tech was still in it's infancy and quite a big deal).

Never. Ever. Chiropractors. 🦆

Yes, get this loads. There's lots of connective tissue to get angry in there. If you want a label it's probably costochondritis, but in the end it's all inflamed connective tissue. Massage (good pair of thumbs to get in there and break it all up a bit), gentle regular movement and NSAID gel are about the best you can do on top of the regular AS meds.

I don't believe anything currently exists that's going to work well enough but let me know if you do 👍

Thom Yorke.

Sprays aren't going to cut it. NSAID gel 👍

numputu

Also, costochondritis is a big thing with AS and is often the culprit for pain around lower ribs at the top of the stomach. I find NSAID gel good for that.

numputu

Yeah, many rheumy's don't seem to get it and mostly just deal with joints rather than the actual enthesis tissue. If you have abdominal pain you might want to get a colonoscopy to check your bowel out. Most people with AS have grumbly guts. About 10% go on to develop Crohn's, worth keeping an eye on.

Groin pain is indicative of a worn femoral head. X-Ray please.

Yup, 2.4Gb from the Mac to the AP, which has 2.5Gb to the server. Saturates nicely.

I had similar when starting biologics (back in 2004). For the first few months, after the fortnightly injection of Etanercept, I would get very tired and sleep. I'd then wake up some number of hours later feeling really hungry. That effect relented over time and after about 3 months I didn't, and still don't, notice any side effects. They're by no means a panacea, but they usually make a significant difference when up and running.

Might also be worth checking your iron/b12 and vitamin D levels. If they're low the fatigue can feel a lot worse.

How does that Arcam behave on eARC?

numputu

Topical NSAID gel can be useful for costo and its pals.

If you're running Golden Gate, use list view in Finder.

numputu

Nope.

numputu

So you think you've found a bug in MacOS where Finder doesn't flush it's cache properly on eject. I don't think so.

numputu

Yes it does. You're holding it wrong.
