Gloria by U2 from their live at red rocks album. I’m not a U2 hater and I like most of this song, it’s got cool guitar and bass parts and is very high energy. The solo section is just shockingly bad. First there is a sloppy slap bass solo that sounds like someone who learned to slap a week ago. Then Bono is like THIS IS THE EDGE and the guitar plays one measure of a very basic lick before they go into the chorus. It’s a great example of “people who don’t want to solo shouldn’t solo”
