I guess, but I really like body horror and comic book movies! I love The Substance and The Batman/Penguin for example. I also liked the new Resident Evil.
But the acting and writing in this was beyond awful and I'm not sure how anyone can see past it. The two leads are either awful actors or the direction was bad.
There was also some really obvious ADR with equally bad acting that genuinely reminded me of The Room with how awful it was. I'm genuinely confused at how anyone could think this was good.
Also like...sure it's all subjective - people are posting their positive reviews and I'm posting my bad review. People can like and dislike what they want! With that logic noone should share any of their own opinions because everything's up to everyone's tastes. Noone should post any reviews about everything except "some people will like this and others won't"

I've just seen it and it is in fact dogshit.

I'm baffled by the positive reviews here.
It's absolutely awful. The line deliveries are shocking, sometimes and often worse than the writing itself.
Some highlights from memory:
"You're the most brutally honest person I've ever met"
"Get one of your mob doctors"
Genuinely one of the worst films I've seen not just this year but in years.

Yeah either way right. Like the film opens with them playing the same song on the piano as a giggly new couple, and it ends with them playing it with bittersweet nostalgia. Open to interpretation!

That film is called Arrival

Hold the fuck up Tom Ravenscroft is John Peel's son?!

Okay but this isn't a copyright issue, it's using an image of a person without that person's consent.
Other than candidates, can you hand on heart say that you have written consent of every single person who has appeared in your leaflets? The only reason this became a problem, really, is that this person happened to be a candidate.

Yeah it was great to hear him talk about that and then announce a policy that makes housing more expensive and less plentiful! Really good stuff! Makes total sense!

Because it is there

But we still pay gas prices due to CfDs that were invented to incentivise this for environmental reasons - noone really anticipated how quickly this would happen and the possibility of renewables driving energy prices down. We're locked in for decades.
Even then, prices could technically hit zero and the retail price of energy I think would barely change due to how much policy cost is built in.
Genuinely don't know what the solution is except spending billions buying out the CfDs early and having them be state run.

I went to a restaurant that on the receipt made a point of saying they don't automatically add a service charge. I enjoyed the food and liked the service, and appreciated the genuinely discretionary aspect, so I added 15%.

I think the Southwark LD result is probably about right, potentially could win one more ward. The Green number is way out. They're only working two or three wards.

It's the right time of year to get stuff like this sorted. Email your local councillor and anyone else you've had leaflets from and they'll be throwing themselves at your feet trying to get something sorted or promise to after the election.

Imagine it's similar to model/photographer TFP agreements (time for prints/time for photos) where as both parties benefit no money needs to change hands.

Aiui immigration is not in freefall - net migration is because emigrations are up

We have never had access to more entertainment.
There's no reason why they couldn't ape Kermode and Mayo's take but maybe more of a focus on TV than film.

I think it's a testament to art that despite doing such a universally accepted despicable, unimpeachably immoral thing - worse than the financial criminality Tender are engaged with - we nonetheless see him as the good guy and feel sorry for him.

I know this stuff but it still blows me away. 15 perf per frame on 70mm is absolutely nuts.
And to think I'm spending ~£10 for a 36 frame roll of gold and think that's expensive - that's only a second or so of standard 35mm film let alone 15 perf 70mm, let alone after the several hours of footage needed to complete a feature film.

Bookies markets work by making an educated guess and then adjusting based on how the market responds.
The more people bet on someone, the shorter their odds become (ie you get less money by betting on them to win), and the other candidates odds will lengthen.
The most efficient (and safest) way for a booky to operate is for an overall market to exactly balance, so regardless of outcome they break even (which is what the above mechanism does). They then make money by taking a % of all transactions. The house always wins
This is of course a massive over simplification - the maths involved is much more complicated and exchange markets operate slightly differently - but aiui that's the principle.

In case you're still confused - OP is complaining that the drug dealer that he purchases cannabis from is only issuing him with a strain of cannabis plant that he doesn't like, and is asking if this is because that is the only strain available in Manchester or it it's just his dealer.
It's like if your local Sainsburys started only stocking own brand prosecco, and you're asking if that's an issue across Sainsburys in Manchester or only in your branch.

Ah that'll be the weed
On mobile and not sure how to spoiler tag - but I think saying the bit on the beach isn't too much of a spoiler as just the setting of the scene! But yeah that bit was super obvious with super clunky The Room style dialogue
