What part is it?
olyjohn
It's true that a lot of places don't, or won't give you warranty on them. For sure they don't like to do it. They can't return the new parts if they are bad, since you bought them. And if the part doesn't fit, then they have your car up on the lift, torn apart and can't put it back together. A shop that orders parts, from say O'Reilly with a corporate account, can often get a refund or a partial refund on labor if they have to re-do the repair due to a bad part. If you bring in your part to the mechanic, and it ends up being bad, they will have to do the job again, and either eat the labor or charge you for it again.

Just push the damn gas pedal to the floor. It won't hurt your car. If my 80hp Honda can do it, so can you!
olyjohn
It's probably just some brodozer with a train horn on it.
olyjohn
I just had one installed 2 months ago to replace my electric furnace, and it was $10k all said and done for my 1600sq-ft house.
olyjohn
So mad!
olyjohn
lmao, never seen anybody so upset about a bad burrito.

Does anybody not remember downtown Olympia like 15 years ago? You'd go down there on a Friday or Saturday night, and the parking lots would be full of cars, the streets had tons of people cruising up 4th and down state. Sidewalks crammed with people hanging out. Cops were down there writing ticket after ticket... It's nowhere near what it used to be.
olyjohn
Quite a judgemental comment. It only seems that way to you because you're not into it. And you only notice the people being assholes. There's a lot of groups of car enthusiasts who don't bother other people, take their racing to the track, raise money for charities, and just like to have a good time. And I don't know why you would make the assumption that cars are the ONLY thing that car enthusiasts do. We are regular people and have other interests as well.

They should just ban ALL politicians and political organizations from all social media. They can build their own websites, and put up whatever they want on them. Then nobody can bitch about it being unfair. Fucking crybabies want no regulations, then when it affects them, they want regulations...
olyjohn
It's pretty much normal in this market right now. If you want a house, you have to be wiling to risk that or else someone else will come in with cash and just buy it out from under you. Sometimes you get lucky and can still put a contingency on the inspection, but not all people bypassing it are "dumb..." they're in a shitty situation where tons of people with tons of money are competing against them.
olyjohn
Doesn't matter if you know who did it. You can have license plates, photos of the faces, video of them caught in the act... Cops won't do anything.
olyjohn
I'm super glad you got it back. Saw your truck posted on the neighborhood Facebook page. Didn't realize how close it was to me... gotta watch my shit closer from now on.
olyjohn
You can guess where I am located. But no issues here. Been WFH all day without issue. Spring is here, maybe is it time to trim some new blockages?
olyjohn
Not really.
olyjohn
You want to celebrate a terminal shortage...?
olyjohn
Whaaaat?! They actually came flying through town?! That would be AMAZING. I feel like it wouldn't happen today, because anything car-related is treated like evil.
olyjohn
That is a sweet ass truck! Sorry it got stolen, will keep my eyes peeled. I love old Japanese cars / trucks, so it'll definitely catch my eye. Hope you get it back soon!
olyjohn
Also not too much further is Iron Creek Campground. It's one of the better incorporated campsites that I've seen. Gotta reserve a spot like 6 months in advance at least though.

Ask for Kenalog. It's a tiny shot and lasts about a year, works damn near instantly. Costs practically nothing. A lot of doctors and nurses look at you like you're crazy, but my doctor prescribed it to me, and it seems to work. Also has helped a few of my friends. I used to have allergies so bad that I would have to take days off of work. After the second shot I got, I never had allergies again and haven't gone back for another. I don't get why this isn't more commonly known by medical professionals...
olyjohn
You don't have to have it towed to a storage yard at all. Have them tow it to your house. The insurance company doesn't own your car and they can't just take it from you because the car is wrecked. Tell the insurance company to fuck off.
olyjohn
There's a different ramen place in there now though.

A base-model Suburban with a 10 year loan, no problem.

I noticed this happens once in a while to me too. Generally, rebooting the dish and router clears it up. Haven't had the problem in a couple of months.
They should just not allow any schmuck with a driver's license to drive a gigantic truck like this. It should be like a motorcycle endorsement or CDL.
