Im literally iust a normal person who has worked with disabled people and knows how important and inpactful these are for people and how this rhetoric is discouraging blind and deaf from using these as accessibility deviceS out of fear of being retaliated and targeted in public. Maybe do some of your own research on accessibility devices and youd see these were a thing way before meta ray bans.

Some evil people will let their aggressive dogs out in certain areas specifically to attack cats. Ive seen it happen locally in Southern California. Def keep an eye out for the dogs and try to find the owners so you can report them. If they are letting them loose in the area at night thats a pretty obvious provocation but in the chance they are strays it would be great to get them off the streets. Im so sorry this happened to your neighborhoods beloved cats. Nothing can be said to make this any better or easier, but your love kept them warm and your food kept them full. You did your best

Your art is furry centric and maybe someone noticed that and was made someone uncomfortable. Most people dont have a clue what to do with birds lolX if it flew away thats great news and im glad you guys did your best to assist the animal, calling is more than a lot of people would do to begin with so dont take the negative comments too seriously. I left some instructions on how to handle injured birds in a comment below. If you find yourself in this situation again, feel free to follow that advice and reach out if you need any other help or guidance. My gran was a bird breeder so i have some familiarity with them

I saved a bird recently and it passed in the first two days which in all reality is mostly how animal recreation and rehabilitation usually goes, injured animals don’t always get better and theres not always someone to take them in. And plus the weekend so they may not be open anyways. Best to help the bird yourself

You can always pick it up and try to care for it yourself but in all likelihood if it was attacked or ran into a window it may just pass. But if you want to help the bird instead of leaving it for predators, id suggest throwing a towel over it (this blocks sunlight and allows a chance to catch the bird without direct contact.) and place them in a carboard box with holes, and leave them with some food and water until they settle down and you can possibly assess them.

I usually just poke until it brraks through somewhere but you might need a pointier set of tweezers
