That's the real challenge, articulating what and why the business exists to the AI.

No, my agents.md is about 12 lines 4 of which are empty lines...

They simply point to context files which point to context files depending where the agent needs to work... If it's a prompt enhancing the something module the glossary references the something and maps down to the area of the codebase the controlled the something module. Then when implementing code changes the agents.md will point to how to build unit tests and run them, how to review the code for standards breaches or architectural breaches.

Luna usually misses most of this stuff... It's fairly annoying... Despite the skills also referencing to look for the files.

I don't have sonnet 5.5 yet but Lina fucking forget to do things all the time, granted I've used it three times and all three times it forgot steps in the skill files that sonnet5 and opus5.5 nail every time for hundreds of uses

I was using the canon SX70HS, a bridge like the p950, 1365mm equiv at 35mm, similar reach but the p950 is nearly double..

I had similar issues, low light, AF, low resolution.

I swapped to Sony a7rv w/200-600 telephoto.

My physical reach is not even close however jumping up to a 61mp full frame with every other spec being better especially AF the shorter reach is rarely an issue because I can still crop in for an 1800mm zoom at 10-20mp and have more details still...

Personally I wouldn't upgrade to a other bridge camera, they all have poor low light die to Aps-C crop sensors that are tiny, and low megapixel counts coupled with small lens diameters

I'm not so sure it will! Plenty of shortcomings from the spec based SDLC.

Unless of course we are talking about specs that reflect one module at a time not an entire system... Then sure it's fine!

I do see that same sentiment though where SDD is back... But from what I can see from the cutting edge is yes SDD was back but it's already falling off again as soon as it started because it has some tradeoffs that do hurt.

As with most things it depends, in this scenario is think spec size matters.

I guess a secondary thing is we can update and change the spec as well go, however depending on the size that may be a redesign more than a simple update.

Those respiratory problems gonna get way worse when there ain't no forests left to produce new oxygen.. and climate change gets worse to the point where those plantations don't grow there anymore...

Bleh! Fucking corporations...

pceimpulsive

I agree! Issue is a lot of developers suck at strategic thinking... So maybe some managers trb into strategic vibe programmers? Hahaha

pceimpulsive

Until you realise the spec missed something and nothing works as you'd have hoped..

Welcome to waterfall development friends!!

pceimpulsive

600% yes!

The carbon emitters should go first! At their personal expense

pceimpulsive

Indeed! A month or two ago Chinas solar output was over 50% of all their generation... By now it's probably over 55%, they are ramping like crazy! Many countries are over 50% of all cars sold as EVs.. the whole trump Iran thing really made a lot of people dive even harder into renewables! That uncertainty of oil supply really gives people incentive...

pceimpulsive

Only by a few percent... Latest data I can see indicate 43% is renewable, and 57% fossil... Couple more years and it won't be most anymore ..

Agree regardless, decades is the right timeframe for the full switch! Still need some battery tech mass production leaps as well!

pceimpulsive

Always check the ingredients!! I refuse the soreadabkes with oil!!

pceimpulsive

Agree! Fission we can manage the waste a bit by burying it in solid rock the. Encasing it in lead and concrete and then unde a mountain... It would be a stop gap at best to tie us over to fusion...

Fusion I'm optimistic for... And I think the real blocker we have isn't the theory but rather the control mechanisms around it... More precise electronics at higher frequencies, better laser tech etc etc~

We just gotta keep on plugging away at micro electronics and keep advancing Tue control systems around it! We will get there!!!

pceimpulsive

Typescript is much the same as C# however as we both know it's not really got as good build time signalling.

I think you could probably claw that spaghetti back. Have you seen Matt Pococks skills? Tried the improve codebase architecture?

Also do you think about the future of Tue codebase whenever you implement a new component or feature? When I say future I mean a year or two down the track where you need to be in that time frame from a maintainability point of view and a scalability lens too...

I usually always think about where I need to be in a few years for the business unit I'm building for. I do work in automation so that may be much easier for me in my domain!

pceimpulsive

Hahaha you also suck as guessing who you are talking to. Age bracket right but the other parts you really fucked up!

pceimpulsive

Yeah that's another damn whammy that one... Need some guillotines.up on these oligarchs

And livong in better designed cities too!!

15 minute city concept?

Where I live in Australia is functionally a 15minute city, outside counting to work twice a week I basically never have to leave my little area, we have parks shops, restaurants medical, dental, optical, supermarkets all with mixed density housing and multiple public transport options, everything I need is a 5-10 min walk away. I practically never need to drive anywhere

pceimpulsive

Totally fair and real feeling!

How in the loop on decisions are you in your agentic workflow?

I feel the se thing with portions of my code base. It's about half a mill LOC now...

I know my way around still by keeping myself in the loop of the core application flow. When Agents write me code I read it (enough to know the control flow). If agents generate something I really can't understand I regenerate it in simpler ways (after it works) this request grows line count.

I'm very lucky to be majority backend in C# a very syntactically clear and precise language for agents with loads of food signals to keep agents on track.

I feel bad for the python (or similar) agentic devs where you really have to work a lot harder for the same level of language signalling to the agents.

NZ is a pretty shitty place to build bunkers given its sinking and has so many earthquakes!

pceimpulsive

You should stop watching fox news buddy!

From literal fascists... Nothing wrong with a skitzophrenic...

Solar, wind, hydro, tidal, geo-thermal and lastly nuclear for a stable generation floor.

The solar charges during the day and batteries provide overnight... Maybe some cultural changes happen too, like less power consumption at night to make it more feasible...

Most people I know with solar/battery installs at their home move their washing, drying, dishwasher, and other high power activities to the daytime where solar provides...

pceimpulsive

I understand the power to weight and range components... You are functionally saying never, because our current knowledge makes it a significant challenge... Rather than stepping outside the constrained box and asking what if...

I have no doubt we will overcome those issues and find even cheaper and more sustainable ways to fly.

pceimpulsive

With that mindset that'll never change!

I don't believe we need it... We just haven't invested enough research into electrifying flight.
