Hey I know you’re currently looking for books out now, but I’m actually writing a book similar to what you’re looking for which I’m expecting to release next year. It’s called The Hallow, and it follows the story of Celeste, a girl who escaped captivity, and Artemis, a solitary wanderer who helps her fight her would-be captors trying to retrieve her. They’re both powerful Aberrations, which are elemental casters who can cast more than one element. There’s a slow-burn romance there also, of course.

I work in supply chain in the Deep South and I can tell you everyone here is still delusional enough to make themselves believe that there is a greater purpose. Just had a supplier yesterday take me out to lunch and tell me we shouldn’t worry about the tariffs so much as it’s just “tightening of the belt” and it will be over really soon. His company is European and thrives in supplying direct from European manufacturers to the U.S. The denial is strong down here.
