I have a DW Collectors Black Nickel Over Brass in 5 inch and one in 8 inch. These are sleepers. Cheap on the used market and i actually like them better than my BB.

Love Allegra drums!
peter_sweeper
My Allegra snare is still the best wood snare i've ever heard. They are still in business, across the river from Portland in Vancouver WA now.

Actually, most teachers accept the crappy pay because they love kids and want to work at a job that isn't just funneling money into shareholders pockets, but doing some good in the world.

"They already know teachers hate it" Where are these teachers when the curriculum dept is having different teachers at different grade levels pilot these things?
You say that but the people piloting these in their classroom are giving the thumbs up to the curriculum dept. So they are getting purchased.

Tell me about these bribes and lies tech companies are telling schools. I'm genuinely curious.

I've worked in K12 education since 2000. I've known probably 150 people that worked in the district office over that time. I don't know a single admin that ended up in EdTech consulting.

"I don’t understand why schools thought it was a good idea to give young kids tablets and laptops and let them use them all day at school"
Textbooks are expensive and go out of date quickly. So one of the ideas was all the books would be on a single laptop and it could always be up to date.
Kids would be more engaged. Instead of just staring at a chalkboard with someone lecturing all day.
Kids would also have an encyclopedia they could easily search for information.
Teachers could come up with more engaging content. Homework and quizzes would be faster to grade. Homework would be easier to turn in.
Kids could collaborate easier on group projects. Teachers could see WHO was contributing the most on a group project.
There are hundreds of reasons doing 1 to 1 with students make sense.
But it turns out social media has basically fucked everything up. Not just for kids, but most adults as well.
Computers and the internet are basically a monkeys paw for the planet.

You're welcome sweetie.

Oh look! Another thread of Russian bots promoting their anti progressive agenda for Portland.
This happens when they aren't busy burning CPU cycles commenting on all the KGW and other new station instagram reels about what a terrible place Portland is. And it's all the fault of us voting in progressive leaders.
Get fucked you asshats.
