you seem to be under the assumption that "just seeing somthing u cant personally explain that happens to be flying" is common, but having an experience as bizarre as my dad's experience is extremely uncommon and as such can be assumed to be psychosis.

i can assure u, experiencers like my dad are actually very numerous, and their experiences with the phenomenon have lots of commonalities (my dad didnt tell anyone about what he saw and psychichly recieved other than his brother for decades; a few years ago i off-handedly mentioned how common it was for experiencers to have dreams about the sky being covered in ufos, which inspired him to open up about when he was 17 and had such a dream one night and then woke up & could see ufos covering the sky in real life for 3 days). there arent a lot of big polls on the demographics of experiencers but, of the polls that exist, estimates range from saying 0.3% to 5% of the population believes theyv been abducted by aliens. theres a huge stigma against it so most refuse to talk openly about it.

do u consider ufology a pseudoscience?

im a trans femme and i donate monthly to Freedom of Form Foundation, but.... my dad is a ufo experiencer (when he was 17 he saw UFOs cover the sky for 3 days straight and nobody else could see them, and also he recieved a psychic message) and so i bond with him over that. i believe there is something going on with uaps, alien abductions, military & civilian sightings, and i dont think its just mass psychosis.

im transgender and have severe neurological/mental disorders. i rely very heavily on medication in order to be more functional & stable, and to affirm my gender identity. am i really supposed to abstain from my medications? that seems unwise.

personally, i was a binary trans woman for 6 years, but i felt that i couldnt adequately keep up with society's demands for achieving womenhood, but i still like some aspects of femininity, so now that im nonbinary feminine (sometimes known as a "demigirl") im A LITTLE BIT feminine, but mostly somewhere outside of the binary.

im fine with she/her pronouns or it/its pronouns, whichever anyone wants to do.

as a nonbinary trans feminine person with emotional regulation issues myself im horrified about all the ppl killed (children!!) and just trying to remember that the vast majority of shooters & school shooters are cis and hoping we dont get more tragedies, cis or trans

cis ppl hav gender dysphoria too. cis women reach their sixties and want to shave their upper lip to be more feminine becuz they dont like having facial hair as a woman. young boys get to their preteens and wait impatiently to grow facial hair becuz thats What Boys Do.

now imagine literally every aspect of your body was like that from birth. your skin, your headhair, your bodyhair, your fat distribution, your chest, your genitals, your muscles, your voice, your emotional response vectors, the way your libido functioned.... it all was the wrong way. and nobody knew.

you wouldnt realize it was wrong at first, becuz literally ALL of it was wrong. youd just feel like shit and you wouldnt know why. until u saw a meme on social media about estrogen pills. or an episode of a sitcom with a trans man in it. or heard a school friend say somthing about "fembois". and it would click.....

so youd go to mom & dad and ask for help.
