No GGG said that the current standard will become "early access standard", and will be practically frozen, I.e. a museum. With 1.0 there should be new standard, clean state for everyone, making it a fair field also for people who didn't pay for early access.
I really hope they clarify that, maybe in some Q&A at exilecon.
phadej
The early access standard will be quite empty place, wont it?
(And I really hope GGG will make early access standard, as they promised otherwise standard will be even more silly place)

If the goal is just 8/8 then warbringer shield wall is even easier to gear. (One could to transition to smith at 3rd ascension and to titan at 4th, but if goal is to just do 8/8 you could skip those respecs, as they require some shuffling).
Rolling slam&eartshatter until lvl 21, then shield wall all the way to pinnacles.
Though this late in the trade league probably about any build is easy to gear to clear T16 & do 8/8.

None of league crafting mechanics in poe2 is similar to poe1; it would be surprising if delve came into poe2 and had fossils which did exactly the same thing as in poe1.
I also doubt we get any league crafting mechanic in near future akin to fossils. Essences in poe2 are not spammable on a single base. Essentially only chaos orbs are the "spam" we have (with omens - which a way rarer than fossils in poe1 delve).
Hopefully we get something eventually, but I won't hold my breath. It does seem that GGG wants us to collect bases.

Isn't paying taxes also "giving money to do stuff, like building hospitals"?

You have a point.
There is https://haskell.github.io/security-advisories/ but this issue was not submitted there.
I submitted this (and an issue which triggered 0.3.9.0 release) there. I hope that security-advisories will be published, so people won't need to rely on social media to get notifications about issues potentially affecting them.

I think it's because of https://gitlab.haskell.org/ghc/ghc/-/work_items/19604
The issue is fixed in more recent GHCs, but primitive-0.9.0.0 docs are built with GHC-9.2... The haddock issue is still present in GHC-9.6.7 (GHC-9.6 is used for primitive-0.9.1.0 docs). I'm not sure when the issue was fixed, it's not closed on the GHC tracker so dunno.

I appreciate the message, I hate the delivery.
And whether you test for free or not, doesn't matter. I maintain packages for free also. So what?

The OP has a history of making an elephant out of a fly. I don't like such "fame" seeking. And I actually should probably not engage on reddit with it at all.

I'm not actually sure what's worse: incorrect runtime result or crash
I'm also not that sure that values are "perfectly ordinary". I bet other functions in `scientific` do weird stuff given extreme exponents (but most likely they indeed run out of memory before returning nonsense).
I.e. this is a bug, and I will fix it. But I won't feel urgent to do so.
In fact, because it is posted reddit made me feel less urgent about it.
EDIT: note to myself: there is another bug hidden in that bug report

... but that's seems fine?

15?
I barely see any. Especially no enhacement, abrasion or sorcery... i.e. ones which actually matter in campaign.

There should be some halls near the fortress.
I had two pairs behind the fortress (north west direction), and one pair on the other side of ritual quest location.

The natural question is then why... Rust?
I understand why people write JavaScript or say even Python tooling in Rust (or Haskell!?): partly because JS is not the greatest language, partly for performance reasons, partly to be able to ship a single static binary.
But why write Haskell tooling in Rust?
---
GHC-version independent binaries is a blessing. ghcid was (and I guess still is) the most fail-proof "interactive" tool, it just works.
That said, I would love to have a machine-interactive mode for GHCi, automating interaction (beyond just running scripts) is indeed not easy to make work atm.
phadej
Haskell binary doesn't need to be "tied" to any specific GHC either.

- 2x deferring cost less tribute makes deferring free
- 2x rerolling cost less tribute makes rerolls cheap
- not having additional rerolls tablet mod keeps reroll count reasonable.
I suspect that OP was able to buy out at least half of the stuff in the last ritual window.

Nah, i'd say those are the similar "number goes up".
But it is indeed faster to compete a character in LE than in poe1, but I don't see that as a better or worse thing. It's different.
I play more alts in LE.

I agree about FOMO. I started a luminary in 3.29 just because I know she won't survive the next patch notes.

Spammable boss' drops value is not "divines", it's time.
If GGG would want to keep (and I'm sure they would want to) some mega-drops as rare as they are now, they'd nerf their drop rates if boss TIK is decreased.
At worst, the game could turn into D4 drop fiesta where you one-tap the boss, and could kill it 100-200 times an hour; but the drop rate would be still "maybe you get a good item once in an hour". Neglect and Fear are very close to that in PoE1. It's OK that they are some bosses like that, but it's also good that not all bosses are like that.
That said, I'd like if Tavakai in maps didn't yap at all. It's not a spammable boss. I don't see a good reason to drag out that fight.
phadej
Indeed, and I should point out that D4 is a commercially way more successful than PoE2. Maybe GGG should learn from Blizzard Activision on how to make successful games

Except from some true lucky exceptions, all music making is trial and error. You do not want to watch through a 4-5 hour session where someone is trying tens or dozens ideas until some work.
I watched an interview about LFO - LFO with gez varley, and he told that programming of that track took 2-3 days. Sure, it was atari not ableton, so maybe you could be 10 times quicker, but you still have to have an idea before you can program it.
phadej
There is balance between trying to attract new people and keeping old engaged.
I see myself "skipping" poe2 if it's mid. Sure I will try the content, but I won't generate revenue.
People suggest regularly a variant of this.
I like an idea of a toggle which would make items higlighted by a search (regex) unmodifiable.
That would allow not only chaos spamming in poe2, but actually make many mindless (map, waystone, tablet, etc) preps truly mindless. And that I guess is thr issue with that.
