Marble Blast Ultra. I have a 360 detachable HDD with it downloaded and still occasionally dust it off to play.

My normal jam is crunchy RPGs/sims, but damn does that game sing to me.

Hasn't been available in over a decade (14 years I think). Give it back.

I've had two different bosses tell me a version of this. I said I was super uncomfortable doing that and went back to drinking.

phantomhatsyndrome

It would probably end up being a less funny and more dramatic version of Venom with Flint Marko's backstory/motivations. Tragic villain. I could 100% see the character carry a horror film in the vein of Clayface.

Does rent count? If so, fucking YES.

My guy was named Carlos Danger Fuxwitit Hatsymdrome. Carl for short. Sometimes C-Dawg or C-Money.

phantomhatsyndrome

Ha! Exactly right.

phantomhatsyndrome

My guy Carl (Carlos Danger Fuxwitit Hatsyndrome) was often called Poop-Paws or Poop-Paws McGee.

I've only had one truly heart-pumping close call. Walked into a building and before it had fully loaded the interior I got hit by a missile launcher. If I hadn't have been using the Padded Chest + Dense Metal Arm exploit on top of Nerd Rage, I would've been in 6 pieces across the room.

Ended up with a fraction of health and scrambled right the fuck away. Problem was scrambling meant running through downtown looking for a bed for 20+ minutes.

But if you're back in 2006, you have time to prepare by 2009.

phantomhatsyndrome

I'm in nea4 perfect position to optimize this particular one. I was 19 in 2009.

phantomhatsyndrome

MV-fuckin'-P.

phantomhatsyndrome

Beautifully put. And, while I reserve the right to change my mind, I'm pretty sure I agree. Probably my favorite as well.

phantomhatsyndrome

Amen. I like most NPCs in this game. I like almost all of the companions. I fucking loathe Preston.

phantomhatsyndrome

I got Idiot Savant Rank 2 triggered on a Far Harbor quest and it was 5 fucking levels in my 40s. Fucking bonkers bump.

phantomhatsyndrome

Just hit 71 on mine... shit is nerve-racking.

phantomhatsyndrome

I dunno. I think he would work fine as any color, but it almost feels like piling on, since his parents are anti-mutant. Kinda feels more poignant for a middle-class white dude that should have every opportunity afforded to him, but whoops he's a mutant. Time to put him in the "other" category. Not just society, but his family as well. Top that off with him being gay? Woof.

Maybe that's leaning too hard into Angel territory, for what they've got here, though.

I went strait West from the Red Rocket after pitching up Dogmeat, then hugged the map when I hit the edge and went straight South. Probably 30-35 minutes from leaving the Vault.

Edit: Ahahaha. ETA is commonly used in Reddit to mean "Edited to add." Misunderstood your comment for a minute. Sorry.

I mean, easily the most sustainable. I was just saying it's possible to enter the Gauntlet at 1, but impossible to leave it at 1.

phantomhatsyndrome

My girlfriend has to tell me to "turn it off" sometimes when we're out. Vermouth on a rail is one of the biggest offenders in that regard. Drives me batty.

phantomhatsyndrome

I've made it to the Gauntlet and cleared it at level 2. I was level 1 when I started it, left over halfway to 3.

ETA: On Survival

I would put Damian at number 2 of the Robins, and by default want him to take the mantle because Dick deserves better.

phantomhatsyndrome

Constantly. I only did $1200 in sales last night and walked with just shy of $500 because I could schmooze all night.

phantomhatsyndrome

It's not over-explaining that I take issue with, it's that it feels like he doesn't trust the reader. It's not about the exposition, but how the exposition is handled via his prose.

phantomhatsyndrome

I think my issue with Brian's writing is his need to explain everything in the moment. The world doesn't feel like it's lived in and breathing. It's like the difference between an arthouse film and a low-budget high school theater production.

phantomhatsyndrome

Check back on Thursday. He'll wake up for you.
