Any brands you’d recommend? The other top comments have been spot on but I never heard of Working Hands Cream.

phuzzyvision

Same issue. Somebody mentioned it’s only hardcore hard point rounds but still got a fat goose egg on my clan points.

phuzzyvision

That sounds legit but but I’m trying to understand why the latest sunset doesn’t fall on the same day. I looked it up and it says June 27 but it varies when you look at individual locations. Thank you for answering. Your explanation is exactly what I told my so. Even brought out the flashlight.

phuzzyvision

Also, it’s a sea lion not a seal. It has ears.

phuzzyvision

This needs to be higher!

phuzzyvision

Automod abuse of report post by an organized group.

phuzzyvision

Just a note... excessive force complaints against police are not available to the public unless the officer is fired in Hawaii. Demand transparency now! Edit: grammar

phuzzyvision

Thank you! I heard that a SCOTUS decision prevented him from closing boarders. Does anyone know if Ige / the state can close private business? Also, obviously workers are going to suffer... any chance seasonal unemployment will cover? So many unanswered questions.

phuzzyvision

This. New sd card solved all my problems.

phuzzyvision

Usb hub with external power.

phuzzyvision

That explains it! Also, I should have thought of it too. I was testing from a webmail account to a webmail looking for my ip. Of course its not originating from here! Sometimes I get too excited about the concept and I completely overlook the application. Thanks for clarifying.

phuzzyvision

Just tested this but I don't see originating IP in headers. Do you specify it in script email?

phuzzyvision

Figured it out. Added a 2nd entry in self created file in /etc/dnsmasq.d/02-opvpn.conf to specify 2nd interface eth0 (interface=eth0). Original setup tutorial had me create the file to specify interface=tun0.

phuzzyvision

My PiHole is only resolving PiVpn traffic now. Local traffic seems to get unresolved. Not sure how to fix it.

Typically I’m not in an admin position when servicing equipment. The recent call that lead to me asking the question was because the network guys attempted to scan for the MAC address of equipment that was recently required network changes. They claimed the device wasn’t on the network.

Really I was wondering if there was a way to just listen to a device by plugging into it directly. Figure routers / managed switches can show who’s up so why couldn’t a laptop do the same.

phuzzyvision

Lol. No worries. I thought about this as an option too. Just buy a small managed switch and put it in my van. Figure if a switch can tell me what’s on a network a PC should be able to do the same without having to carry extra equipment.

phuzzyvision

I know the device programs via telnet port 9999. How would it setup to listen only for this port? Would it have activity without the telnet open command?

phuzzyvision

An old engineer I worked with joked they used to call the internet the arp-net back in the day.

Thank you for your response. I will try this when I get a chance. Usually don’t come across this issue often but last week a customer computer died and it was attached to a enet to serial converter. They just looked at me funny when I asked about network scheme. Luckily we found an old back up and were able to get the system back online.

phuzzyvision

What's the easiest method to find an IP address of a device w/ unknown network settings? NIC on the panel has activity lights but isn't responding. I've used a ping scanner with common used schemes but this doesn't always work and usually takes time. Would a packet sniffer like wire shark reveal the ip info? Any other tools accomplish this task?

phuzzyvision

Unfortunately no. Looks like the ad hoc network stuff changed from 16.04. Now the network configuration only has “hot spot” option. Tried to use the old tool but the network never completes the link.
