Same, also it means that when fighting Tengu, if he lights you on fire, you don't lose scrolls either. It's usually not hard to avoid, but once in a while you get a little trapped.

I like to imagine it wasn't told to play StarCraft, they just caught it playing on its own for fun

pl233

I've never used fire in the vault, wasn't sure what that was even for.

pl233

It also defuses the moment a bit, showing that Doc is drunk and declining to fight. It's a bit of a mixed message, making fun of himself as a drunkard, but also poking fun at Johnny's showboating.

Hi Guillermo! Do you think you will ever do another season of Cabinet of Curiosities?

pl233

Does this mean that exposing government corruption is "literally violence"?

Yesterday I had a couple more pickles from further down in the jar, and the texture was better, maybe the ones at the top didn't get much pickle crisp exposure because they weren't submerged enough.

Yeah, I guess maybe if I was going to do it as a refrigerator pickle, I wouldn't pre-salt the cucumbers and let them sit, that probably doesn't help the texture. But I think if you're going that route, they'll turn out pretty different in texture anyway. Nice crunch, but a different sort of pickle with the same flavor. Still worth trying, that sounds pretty great.

I wrote up my recipe here - https://www.reddit.com/r/pickling/comments/1v1xwl8/maille_cornichons_copy_attempt/

The only thing I know I'll change next time for sure is to use smaller cucumbers. I did mine too late in the season. The flavor is spot on, but the texture is wrong because the cucumbers are more filled out. The young ones have more density to them. Otherwise, I think mine are pretty much exactly the flavor of Maille cornichons.

Would be cool if someone made a training arena mod that walks you through tips and tricks to help you learn to play smarter

Cardboard is gonna be a problem when you dump hot water all over this

It looks like one, but it's way more expensive

If there was somebody worth voting for, I would vote for them

I misread this and thought it said Greek hospitals washed the feet of guests before even asking their names, which seems like a bad policy for a hospital

pl233

Great, it's already a couple hundred bucks, and now I have to find 100 euros too???

pl233

Is this Hoid?

pl233

Yeah, I just used whatever baby cucumbers someone was selling at the farmer's market. Apparently the cucumbers typically used are Cornichon de Paris and Fin de Meaux

pl233

No bay leaves or peppercorns, and I added 2 tsp of brown mustard seeds as well. I also used 100% distilled white vinegar. I saw these differences in another post on Maille cornichons, so I thought I would try that. I didn't have coriander seeds, but those are also apparently in the Maille pickles. We'll see how it goes, I'm sure they will be good, but I'm hoping to match the Maille recipe as closely as I can. The main thing is that I probably won't be able to get the right kind of cucumbers, but this should be at least a decent first attempt.
