I feel like someone will turn this into a cs map

Not even relationship related, but if you’re in a conversation with people or join a conversation out of politeness most people switch to the common language, perhaps ask your partner to help you feel included by him leading the suggestion to switch to English at that time

You may instead want to look at AWS AppSync, API Gateway (web socket support), or IoT core.

Check if you’ve configured a maximum core/DTU that can be used by one database in the pool, and you’re hitting that limit (so the pool never maxes out), see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-sql/database/resource-limits-vcore-elastic-pools?view=azuresql#database-properties-for-pooled-databases

If traffic is consistent, perhaps it’s a handler or something (eg even DI scope) where each request adds to something and a resource is never released. I’d grab a memory dump and then review.

Anyone else think Milkshake is severed and he doesn’t realise it? The concern over the welcome screen etc being so unimportant.

Don’t checkpoint every event (eg checkpoint every 20, something that works for you); also consider changing the storage tier of the blob account and not having versions enabled

Since you mention from/sync scripts, look to implement a heartbeat / crown monitor like https://onlineornot.com/ which can be your dashboard for “did the script complete?”

Turn on full crash dump logging in windows settings (instead of mini dump), next time it happens load the dump in windbg tool and use commands like thread/backtrace to see what happened

This is strange to me and I wouldn’t do it, too complicated, what’s really happening is the investor is buying options now but pays later - and in a weird way, if the runway runs out the investor is paying for now worthless options (the severance).

I’ve used this approach on the past, worked perfectly

Id log the output of GetFormatType, perhaps the code is returning a different format (eg zip) where locally it’s docx or something different

Used octopus.com in the past to manage deployments

If you have blob versioning / soft deletes on, perhaps a prior version has now expired.

Not a lawyer, but this feels like an attempt at identity theft - they've had your partner sign paperwork (to obtain his signature) and I assume is being asked to bring and scan/sign identity documents?
Report them to the police.

Can you see an actual unhealthy status somewhere during this time?

I'm suspicious of the Semapore WaitOne/Release, I think you're blocking threads here as this isn't an async operation.
You may want to check out Polly https://github.com/App-vNext/Polly which among other thing has a Rate Limiting feature.

I've recently turned on the "Silence unknown callers" (straight to voicemail) iPhone option for unknown callers, and my voicemail message says to please text me as I don't check my voicemail.

Check our https://Leapp.cloud

You can turn on Storage account logging (to get per-request diagnostic logs) logged to your storage account in a special container, see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/manage-storage-analytics-logs?tabs=azure-portal
You could then download the logs and analyze if there's been a spike in requests recently etc.

Here’s one for you, apparently the project name was Red Dog internally, and as a user you can see that name used in some internal DNS names across Azure sometimes or as cloud service VM hostnames like RDxxxxx

Is it static content? A CDN should be sufficient in front of Azure blob storage if so.

Is the app magnified or zoomed in or larger system fonts, not sure if that’s possible but perhaps that’s the cause.
Trust me, it’s not you. You’ve just noticed that a lot of this is arbitrary, pointless management, and it is.
I’ve spent 25+ years in startups/small teams. This is exactly the kind of manager I wouldn’t want working with me.
Those rules feel confusing because they’re arbitrary. Who cares what’s on your desk? Give people some flexibility, trust them, support them, focus on the work.
Good managers don’t constantly remind people they’re “above” them. They remove barriers, help people grow, make tough calls when needed, explain why, and shield their team from unnecessary crap.
If you move somewhere else, especially a smaller team/company, I think you’ll find work can be a lot more fun when that pointless hierarchy isn’t in the way.
