I’m probably butchering the pronunciation a little bit, but I was told to say“Ao pet ra-dap kon Thai” - it’s the one phrase I know!

About 2.5% of adults. 1 in 40.
Among “young people”, up to 5%. So 1 in 20.

Blueprint has Japanese bands from time to time.

Fuji Kaze in going there in December. Official髭男dism
next month.

Should have used his INDICAtors.

I have bought from Hard Off, but wouldn’t sell to them unless I was absolutely desperate for quick money.

Shockingly, Facebook groups/marketplace is still a good place to get a fair price for both parties. I got a Greco WSB-STD there in perfect condition for ¥15,000.

I’ve even bought a guitar (Casio PG-380 for ¥25,000 no less!) on Craigslist Tokyo in the past few years.

I did buy a fretless Edwards bass on Merukari earlier this year which arrived in good condition, but I generally wouldn’t want to buy or sell a guitar that needs to be posted unless it’s in a hard case that can be mummified in bubble wrap.

Since you’ve got the time, save up some money and pay an artist?

I’ve done my own jackets in photoshop, from public domain images and with AI. Regret them all except the most recent one I commissioned for about $300 equivalent.

I was listening this week too.
I recommend Stay the Night for a more standard disco vibe.

There’s the Designated Activities (Long Stay for Sightseeing and Recreation) visa that could get you six months and one renewal, so up to one year.

The requirement is ¥30,000,000 in savings.

pomido

Same. “Hard restart” fixed it for a while but it’s back today.

I don’t think it’s legal / acceptable to take the items in the first place. At the very least, you’re creating a headache for the person who has registered to have it collected and will presumably have to deal with the narked and empty-handed collection guys.

CRS since 2014.

Both Japan and the UK are signatories.

That’s Danny Elfman.

Something is off with those figures as, according to the Japan National Tourism Organisation, Tokyo recorded 25.2 million non-resident arrivals in 2025 across its two primary airports, yet it doesn’t even appear on the list. Ignore.

The towers in Tennozu Isle can be 10 minutes walk from Shinagawa station.

I lived in Word City Towers for 4 years which has a regular private bus to Shinagawa station to make it even more convenient.

There’s not much to do in Shinagawa station area itself though. There’s whole area is kinda boring to be honest.

What is going on with their trousers though? I’ve literally never seen such a short flares/boots look.

Is it somehow functional to protect them from the rubble? Was that a trend?

pomido

It surprised me to find a Treasure Factory (actual Japanese secondhand retailers) operating (and selling seemingly only Japanese goods) on Sukhumvit 39.

There are quite a few indie rock bands from Thailand performing in Tokyo over the past few years - nothing electronic though, as far as I’ve seen.

pomido

People piss in them too.

Not text, but don’t the new AirPods have a live translation function with accompanying app (for translated text response)?

pomido

Nominative determinism?

pomido

I have to concur sadly.
I saw WAY too many in the food court there. Never eating there again.

It seems they had already washed up before the earthquake, possibly due to high winds from a typhoon.

Japan has been seen as an aspirational Asian country in Thailand for a long time. It’s almost like a role model country.

Trains stop around midnight and most of Tokyo doesn’t really get started until 10:00~12:00.

If you’re in your 20’s, go stay in Shibuya or Shinjuku - they should be accessible - go drinking, sleep, walk in a park (rainy season is imminent here though), eat lunch.

You’d need to start leaving for the airport around 13:30.

Perhaps working in said field, obviously without an easily accessible toilet and is, as the OP has said, aged, so may need to go more often.

That doesn’t excuse it - he should endeavour to do it discreetly.
