Thank you for this. I am Jewish. Raised Jewish in a kosher household. I also noticed this.

Growing up Jewish, "goyim" simply means "all the non Jews". It doesn't even mean Christian per se.

Make no mistake though: I've heard goyim used like a slur by Jewish people. But it is not inherently a slur.

I also have witnessed and grown up being taught that Jews actually are better than other peoples. Not taught explicitly, perhaps, as in, not directly taught as such in Hebrew school for example. But I know plenty of bigoted conservative Jews who definitely feel this way and teach, via behavior and speaking, this thinking, to younger generations.
