If I were you I’d probably try low contact with these people first, then gradually turn down the dial to no contact.
It’s cringey he is trying to guilt you with all these unfounded speculative assumptions. The part about your mother dying from a heart attack is ridiculous
You each have your own lives to live. Space can give you some well deserved peace.

It's enriching despite the spoiling. Any time with grandparents is a privilege and will create amazing memories for everyone. Enjoy the time with your husband

Just came to say, try to stay connected to a trusted older person as a 'chosen' family support, whoever that is, a teacher, a librarian, a neighbour - that can look out for you and connect you to some services. Best wishes to you, belief in yourself - there are people out there who are rooting for you 💕

When she says, I have to love myself so that I can allow you to love me, heart melts She spoke for every woman with post partum body image issues And then when he said, I want our kid to grow up seeing our relationship as a template for what love should be… stop it! I had to turn it off and go for a walk

welcome to parenthood! eventually this goes away and is replaced by sth far worse. they become teens, they are never home anymore except to raid the fridge (and your wallet), and you have all this extra time to spend time with someone with habits so incredibly annoying you forgot why you had kids with them.

postdiver

I will try to explain, but so far these kids of mine are at an age and stage where I get eye rolls whatever I say, most of the time anyway. My sibs capitalized on this when we used to meet in person and I realized over time I can’t really enjoy conversations with them anymore.

I never thought of this

This. This is the crux of it. Thank you. I think I said it backwards but you got my meaning. Thank you for validation. Lots of good advice here but this just got a little backflip from my heart.

postdiver

I guess I'm a narcissist, I've been accused by my siblings. Any advice ?

postdiver

Thank you for sharing your story. You are an inspiration. Can you share some advice for me? I just posted a question in this threZ

i had a luxe for it feels like the last 5 years and i was with fitbit for the previous years and once had a garmin also when i was comparing both brands together. (yesss i used to wear a watch on each writs LOLZ)

how about this as a substitute. the reason i went with fitbit and not a smartphone/watch all these years is bc i don't need all those pings on my wrist. that's the reason i don't have my phone in my hand all the time.

www.amazon.ca/Fitness-Tracker-Activity-Multiple-Waterproof/dp/B0DSBVLDV4/

you can get a watch/step counter/heart rate etc monitor for $40. should last a year at least. then get a new one. way cheaper than smartwatch.

yes - you'd lose all the history. for htis i htink of zen teacher.... the most important data is in this precisee moment.
let go of the past data. live in the moment

Absolutely, let me clarify. In my experience, if you're going to apologize - do it immediately. I liked the part where you said that you wished the person the best, even if there has been some sort of misunderstanding in the moment. Particularly if it's someone close, and they have for whatever reason felt like I was talking down to them, I would thank them for letting me know because it takes courage to share hurt feelings. I would then apologize and if they seemed open - I would tell them the thing I was saying only because I wish them well. Hope that adds context. Thank you for sharing your ideas!

postdiver

That's right! Thanks for sharing your experience.
