I mean, just for fun, let's say that "burger flipping" wasn't a hard job, for this example. Does the person working not deserve the ability to subsist and have some money leftover for themselves? Someone still has to do the job. I really hate the "it's such an easy job" or "it's meant to be a first job for experience" arguments, because they're either wildly misinformed or not being argued in good faith.
So the next time someone does say that, please tell them to fuck all the way off into the sun, maybe they'll learn some damn respect for their fellow humans...though I doubt it.

Ohhh, that looks awesome and who doesn't love freebies?

This is the official First Thought channel, found it via The Deprogram's discord (another project from JT [Second Thought], Hakim, and Yugopnik)

Reading it, this is definitely a satire about rainbow capitalism.

Now if we could get someone to get JK Simmons to do this as Cave, for some reason it just feels like that would be the logical conclusion to this.

Thank you kind scholar for spreading awareness of the sauce.

Gotta keep everyone divided over boogeymen, otherwise we might suddenly come together as a group, realizing that we're being ripped off, and have ourselves a revolution...can't allow that much class concisouness to ever happen.

I see they watched the mann gegen mann music video one too many times.

They also privatized a bunch of the hospitals and other medical offices so you get 2 or more layers of profit extraction...but one day if we all work hard enough we'll be millionaires extracting profit from someone else... Right?

I'm not saying that taking the time to educate yourself on basic issues and candidates to try an mitigate harm isn't a good short term solution, I'm saying that in your response above, you asked what the alternative to voting is for getting out of Late Stage Capitalism, and I answered that. LSC is a left sub, not a liberal sub.
Voting, at best, keeps us from moving further to the right, but it rarely (read sometimes but not often) moves us back away from the ratchet effect we currently have.
Local elections are more important but remember that both parties, in the end, are run to benefit the bougoise, not the proletariat. That's the entire point that I made, do what you can to affect REAL help at a local level while working to bring about the material conditions required to actually fix the problems inherent in capitalism (by overthrow, hopefully peacefully but that's only happened once).

Read the last hundred years of socialist theory, form up local groups, and take direct action to improve the material conditions of your fellow man. The fed didn't murder Fred Hampton because he was a Black Panther, they did it because he was showing how to bring about the material conditions to start revolution and doing it well!
Edit: just realized, Kapital was almost 200 years ago, not 100

I spent 6 years of my life there, I left at the end of last year and took a job where I spend as little time as possible interacting with other people and it has been an absolute boon for my mental health. Thank you for helping that customer who really needed it, just don't forget to take care of yourself too!

Urinating Tree did a wonderful breakdown about that...

Thankfully no gore, just more depth and photos of the victims prior to the incident.

it should be fine to just log on and get your job done
Louder for the people in the back. I'm here for a paycheck, if I make friends, cool, but don't force it on me. I do not miss "corporate culture" now that I've moved into a job that has me so rarely interact with other people during work hours.

Yep, it's the same shit Marx wrote about in the 1800s, just wrapped up in new tech and terminology.
projektdotnet
Let's be real though, many of the career politicians own enough shit to be bougoise themselves, or landlords, maybe both. They may start as puppets to their capitalist masters but they are almost never proles (and most of them will gladly turn class traitor for money).

Yes, it'll be a great podcast, especially if you've already read Capital. They put a lot of effort into explaining the nuance of the text in relation to the material conditions of his time and how it applies to modern capitalism. I'm someone who struggles to get through dry texts, so for me it went a long way towards finally explaining what Marxism really is. I'm now onto S2 which is Lenin's State and Revolution.

Podcast that's available on most podcast platforms. Personally I use Spotify since I already have a subscription there.

Season 1 of Marx Madness was a couple of guys reading Capital and breaking it down, really good overview if you have a busy life and want to start with the spark notes version.

Arm the children you say?
Yep, but god forbid that essential workers received company provided PPE or hazard pay. I already felt bad for most service workers in any industry as I'd worked plenty of non food service jobs, but covid made it so much more obvious that everyone is getting fucked, except those who already hold obscene amounts of wealth. The worst part, we did next to nothing with this information. It is nice to see the push towards organized labor again, here's hoping it doesn't die off this time.
