Are you just attributing whatever "off the top of your head" paper to Stanford, knowing the average redditor won't try to validate shit?
No, I'm not - I'm not trying to "trip you". I work in the industry.
I could be off on the attribution on some of these (some of these papers I read a long while ago), but I shouldn't be far off.
I seem to be completely off on chain of thought. Alexnet, however, was developed in toronto but brought to prominence by winning the stanford vision lab imagenet contest. RLHF started with Christiano's team at OpenAI, but stanford's alpacafarm project showed it could be done by, well, people in this very subreddit.
In any case, the "paper" is nothing until it's implemented. For every thousand papers out there there is probably one useful solution in the wild. Don't believe me?
Oh I believe you.
It's the product that makes the paper worth reading.
It's often the paper that makes the product worth building.
Besides, most meaningful contributions to AI in the last half a decade or so have been done by the industry, not acadamia, and it's simply because they have skin in the game.
Absolutely correct. At the same time, diminishing Stanford's (and other institution's) contributions to the work being done today (and especially the insane amount of research it stands on) is as naive as it gets.

I saw exactly what I expected to see out of your comment history. A bigot parroting stupid shit.
prtt
That's exactly what they are.

comes down to the definition of high frequency. Non-citadel traders will call whatever they do high frequency if it reacts to events at sub 5s. I'd argue they're correct for the vast majority of markets.

Worth mentioning that he was releasing these as the radio play progressed on Telegram. Here's a direct link to that: https://www.t.me/archivo_de_radio_piedras - The Bandcamp release is a culmination of the work, and a way to support it in its entirety — part of the proceeds go to charity too, which is fantastic.

And you legit wonder why you got banned from his chat? Clearly you are a douchebag, why would you stay?
prtt
A hero.

Dude, this is not the take. The opposite of being broke isn't spending $1000 on skins. And similarly, not buying $1000 in skins does not mean you're broke — it means, quite honestly, that you don't make weird financial decisions.

Question: You folks play Apex? What's your go-to legend these days?
prtt
Oh, grow up.
prtt
No, dude. You're miserable for being a petty, negative, no-fun nancy firing left and right in this thread for no bloody reason. Give it a fucking break, my guy.
prtt
Jfc, you sound absolutely miserable.
prtt
Yep, great tip, "Craig" - this poor random reddit user will be able to cut a deal with a dictator...
prtt
Let's be honest, here: you were a douchebag, got called for it, and decided to double down. The true mark of a moron.
Let me repeat /u/TIGOLBITTIEZYO's advice to you, because maybe the second time will do the trick: 1) finger out of the poop hole and, 2) go read a book.

The panel gaps on most Tesla's would look terrible compared to peak malaise era big three cars blush.
You lost me. I don't know how you go from big tech selling data to the quality of Tesla interiors, but it feels completely unrelated to what we were discussing. I ask you for source, you give me something that disproves what you said. I talk about data in big tech, you move to interiors. Sounds like you have a bone to pick with the company, and that's fine (I guess), but not a great way to have a conversation.
Tesla's valuation is on cars delivered, not on profitability. When that changes they will sell the data.
This is incorrect, actually. It is definitely not a multiplier on delivered cars. In fact, many argue that it is completely disconnected from that metric, and that it is mostly on the network/ecosystem. There's lots you can read about that around the internet.
