The part where they fast forwarded Lady Kvaravita’s rambling while everyone was barely holding it together was pretty hilarious.

That fast forwarding bit was was great. I don't remember the last time where I saw show they actually put in a fast forward bit like that.

So it seems the King Nefrit likes ‘em young. It might not be uncommon in the show or even irl history, but it’s still pretty weird and gross.

I also get a kick out of how Tien immediately knew that there was something going on between them. Other than those things this episode confused me a little. Why is Rose acting like she's never met Harji before? She knows it's him and always looks forward to his visits. They are the best part of her day/week/etc. She even tidied up for him.

Secondly, why is Harji acting so weird and, dare I say it, entitled? And maybe even a little autistic. Rose having other clients cannot be that much of a surprise to him. Why is he acting like his entire worldview has been shattered because Rose has another clients? He's supposed to be an adult. He wasn't raised in the woods. He was raised in high society. He knows how to socialize and that people can have friends and merchants can have more than one client. So why he is acting he's like spent his whole life in his hometown of 100 people that no connection to the outside world being told he's Mommy's Special Boy then moved out for the first time and discovered he's not as special as his mom said he was?

Don't get me wrong. I like the idea of confirming that their feelings are mutual in episode 4, but why did they have to do it so weirdly? Or maybe it's just me that thinks it was weird.

They're older (S1 was in 2022 and S2 was last year in 2025), but the dubs for both seasons of My Dress-Up Darling are also incredible.

On the other hand, them having steamy sex while acting like nothing is going one between them is funnier.

They baited me with the orcs lol. I thought the gag would be that these are different orcs. That they're aware of the stereotypes and aren't like other orcs. They don't violate women. Which is true. They are aware of the stereotypes and are different from other orcs. But it's not because they don't violate who they capture. They still do that.

It's just that these are refined orcs that want to get the backstory and their problems before they violate them because having a more complete picture of who they're violating brings them more pleasure. Of course Amona didn't know that at the time so she was more than happy to air Roni's dirty laundry lol. Sometimes a girl just needs to rant about her about her man.

I thought we'd get another "Hey guys" from Imp, but unfortunately no. It's him revealing another one of the author's kinks a random about a TS Princess. It was cool to see Roni go into "boyfriend" mode and spring into action to save Amona. How often do you a character with a literal hate boner? Well that's at least what he claimed it was to Eury. We know the truth of what it was though and does Amona too. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Roni was more probably more intense than the orcs would've been because Amona is such a temptress. She knows exactly what turns him on and uses it against him. Especially if that means exploring new kinks with him. Heck the sex was good Amona broke the chain. We know you have feelings for him Amona. Lock down your man down Amona or someone will take him from you.

The gap of Eury's being acutely aware of just how much sex Roni and Amona are having and Haru being completely oblivious continues to very enjoyable.

Yeah. I agree with the Bulma slap and Vegeta being on the floor. We missed the good character moments that Bumla, Beerus, and Vegeta had in the original run.

Toriyama didn't acknowledge them simply because he didn't care. Not because that he was trying to shun them or anything. It could be a mistranslation or I'm misremembering, but IIRC from an interview, the interviewer directly asked him if he thought GT was canon and Toriyama replied something to effect that he didn't really "believe in canon" and that everything was just Dragon Ball to him.

I would've loved for them to put SSJ4 and SSJ3 Vegeta in this because I really liked Daima. SSJ3 Vegeta gives Vegeta transformation reasons and SSJ4 is my favourite transformation, but I understand why they didn't even SSJ3 Vegeta was a silver bullet.

Unfortunately if you cut the Trunks and Mai stuff you kind of cut the show off at the knees. That removes like half the impetus for the entire arc and Zamasu just wins because if you remove Trunks and Mai stuff no one warns the Z Fighters and Beerus. You also remove the impetus for the Tournament of Power too because both Zenos collective boredom that leads them to hold the tournament at Goku's suggestion. If Zamasu wins then Zeno never erases Zamasu's timeline meaning that Zeno never moves to the main timeline.

Unfortunately I have to agree. This was a step down from the first two episodes. They also need to stop cutting the comedic scenes.

Dragon Ball has its roots in comedy. That's one of the things that sets it apart. A battle shounen being infused with comedy because it was being written by a gag author already set for life is a big reason why Dragon Ball was and is so compelling. I'm kinda worried that now Toriyama is gone Toei and Toyotarou might forget that. Or even worse, intentionally move away from that.

If they were cut something, cut the Pilaf gang scene. They were unnecessary and don't explain anything. Push that to episode 4 and keep Vegeta's bingo dance because that's a significant character moment for him.

As I said in my own root level comment I hope the Bulma scene is not an indication how they'll handle "I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY MY WORLLLLDDD!" and "TIMES TEEENNN!"

That's no surprise. The movie will likely always be the best because it's movie and not a TV series. Budgets are higher which allows for longer production times by more skilled and experienced staff which typically leads to better pacing, animation, etc. But tbh I think the Bulma scene from this episode might actually be even worse than Super's original run. Vegeta's explosion of rage is just not there imo. Hopefully Chris can salvage the scene when this gets dubbed.

I guess since Galactic Patrol already got announced and probably went into production the same time Beerus did might as well put in some foreshadowing for anime-onlies.

Vegeta's explosion of rage was either equal or worse than the movie and Super's original run and there's no Bulma slap. There was also no bingo dance either.

The Bulma slap is one of the things that makes the scene and shows of the fearlessness of her character. Here is this literal god that took down her husband, the second strongest life form she's ever met, with literal a flick of his fingers and she's not scared to slap him for making a scene at her birthday party. That's part of why Beerus slaps her back. It doesn't really work if she just shakes him and he elbows her away.

The bingo dance is also important. Vegeta is the only one who knows the real stakes. He knows is Beerus gets angry he'll probably destroy Earth. So for that reason Vegeta swallows his pride and makes a fool of himself if that's what it takes to keep Beerus in a good mood.

There's also no SSJ3 Vegeta. Of course I wanted it because I like Daima and would've been a silver bullet. They didn't need to change anything about the original run. All they needed to do was draw SSJ3, but wasn't I expecting that so I wasn't disappointed like I was with "MY BULMAAAAA!".

I hope this is not an indication that I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY MY WORLLLLDDD! and "TIMES TEEENNNN!" will also suffer similar downgrades. Those were the only two moments they actually needed to keep from the first 3 arcs of the original Super run.
