This is partially why I have a pin to my Cash App, any transfers or sending of money and I need to enter my pin. I think that's another level of security for it!
Congratulations on your refund!!

I use Arm and Hammer HardBall lightweight litter with a steel litter box, I used to use Double Duty but it was just SO heavy lunking it up 2 sets of stairs. I had no problem with it. The HardBall litter is SO much lighter (although almost double the price).

Do you happen to live near the border of another state? How far from another, cheaper area do you live from?
As I responded to another commenter, you may have better luck price wise looking outside of your local area- maybe towards the border or across the border into another state (if us-based). When I was originally pricing to get my male cat neutered, I called around to all the local vets in my area, which at the time was about 30 minutes outside of Washington DC, and the cheapest I remember getting was like $600 which was not feasible for me at the time.
I was fortunate that I could wait a while but I do not recommend that to everyone because of the risks involved. Again, I was lucky because mine never got out, he never started spraying, and he never started trying to mount my older cat, Phoebe, but I understand that I am in the minority and I would never recommend waiting as long as I did. It wasn't until after I moved about an hour and a half away from where I used to live, now I live in a much cheaper area and a different state, that I started pricing local neutering services and was able to get him neutered for $120 plus $20 for the chip and rabies vaccine.
So, you may need to travel a little bit but, had I known that I could have saved almost $500 by driving an hour and a half away, I would have hands down done it the moment I found that out. Also, local humane societies sometimes get grants that they will use to lower the prices of their spay and neuter programs. When I originally inquired about getting him neutered it was $80 but then I had an emergency come up so I had to push it off. By the time I inquired again, the grant had been used up so, it was my fault but an extra $40 didn't rape the bank at that time.

I used to live 30 minutes outside of DC and, out of ALL the vets I called, I believe the cheapest was $600+.
I had the fortune of being able to wait a while (mine didn't spray, didn't mount his sister, and never got out) until we moved to a much cheaper area (out of state, approximately 1.5 hours away from our old house). Ended up paying $120 plus $20 for a chip which gave me peace of mind, especially since there is a neighborhood feral cat colony. Had I known that it would have been that much cheaper back when I was originally pricing it out, I 100% would have made the drive out here to get him neutered and not waited as long as I did. Unfortunately, it didn't even cross my mind at the time.
OP may have to travel but if it saves a huge chunk of change I'd do it!

Here is a video of my cat Phoebe walking on her leash!!
I use one of those retractable leashes that you use for dogs (albeit a tiny one), that way I can lock it when she either 1) tries to get into stuff she's not supposed to or direct her and 2) if she gets scared I can also lock it before she bolts and gets herself stuck/struck somewhere.
I also have a tether and a pole that twists for when we go camping so that she can chill outside with us without us having to untangle her every 15 minutes or worry about her escaping.
Not only does keeping your cat mainly indoors with only supervised outdoor time keep THEM safe, and also keeps the environment safe. Species of birds have literally gone extinct or gone in critical condition due to outdoor cat colonies.

So, even if the breed of animal has a double coat which shaving could be extremely detrimental to their overall health (ie: cause issues regulating internal temperature, alopecia, increased matting, etc) if an owner came in and asked for you to shave the animal, you wouldn't take 5 minutes to educate said client? You would just be like, "Okay, that will be $___, Wilfredo the Cat** will be done at approximately 3:30."??
I mean, the client could just be completely clueless when it comes to their animals fur- a picture of a cat with a lions cut could have popped up on their social media page, they saw it, thought it was cute and also happen to have a long haired cat so they brought the cat in for that specific cut. Not understanding that the cat has a double coat and what the long term effects of that are.

I've driven a car that was in a similar state, trust me, you want your ABS module to be working. Ours was a model that relied on it for cruise control so that stopped working, the brakes would also randomly lock up along with the steering, they wouldn't come undone unless the car was restarted/came to a full stop. During those split moments YOU become a hazard on the road and it's almost impossible to predict WHEN the brakes will lock up.
If you're too broke to have the car professionally fixed, time to boot up YouTube and start building your toolset. Start fixing those lights and you won't have to worry about it passing inspection.
Do yourself, and everyone else on the road a favor, and look into carpooling to work or rent a car from Enterprise (if you rent it for 3+ days you get an automatic 15% discount) or Turo while your car is down. It'll be a lot cheaper than having to replace your radiator after you fender bend someone or cause permanent frame damage from an accident and having to pay your deductible plus explaining to the police why you're driving a car that's unsafe for the road in the first place.

Do you have the pattern?? This is amazing!

He's always wanted a small truck and convinced me that we could use it to get my car out of storage (it's not running and I can't work on it when it's 40+ miles away - it's a 2009 Honda Accord) and fix it up so we could have TWO working cars.
So I did what I told myself I'd never again do and co-sign a loan with him.
Well, now we have zero working cars (I count the truck as not running simply because it'd be dangerous to drive it and risk a head gasket issue) and am now dumping money we "saved" for my car into ANOTHER rental simply because he didn't want to buy an $800 car. I kept telling him, "Even if it's only $800 and we have to dump $1k into it, that STILL leaves us with significant savings." But nope, wanted the truck. I tried to argue every angle with him about the RAV4 but nope, fell in love with the truck.
Now he's upset and asking me what we should do with it. I simply told him, "I didn't want the thing. I argued with you and eventually relented because I realized it was futile."
They refused to take it back so now I'm stuck for the next 14 months until the loan is paid off.
punkgaopher
That's what we did. They're gonna fix it free of charge and I have a recording of her saying this so if they try to come back and say, "no one told you that." I can just whip out my phone and say, "is this ___ voice?"
Sucks I have to pay for a rental car now.
punkgaopher
Yeah, that's part of what we learned with our research before purchasing the truck.
I just gave up arguing. I was tired of looking for cars. I found one that was perfect but he refused to listen. We talked about it.
They're gonna take a look at it but it's gonna be a few days she said. They won't take the whole car back. So now I have to rent a car on top of this 🙃 NOW he wants to buy the RAV4. NOW.
punkgaopher
Yeah, that's what I think we might do. It sucks but hopefully we can return it. If not I'm going to try to force them to at least fix it. There's nothing else on their lot that's even close to the price we purchased it at.
I tried to get him to buy this RAV4 for $800 we test drove from someone on Facebook Marketplace but nope, he saw the truck and fell in love with it. Eventually you stop arguing your point.

My old cat, Phoebe, also went into heat early. As soon as we adopted her (from the back of an SUV at a flea market), we scheduled her spay for 6 months out. At 5 months she went into heat and BY GOD that had to be the WORST week. I felt SO bad.
punkgaopher
So we go from putting random ducks on people's Jeeps to putting Pokemon cards on people's windshields??
I'll just keep the Bulbasaur plushie on my dash, unless someone would like to grace me with a Bulbasaur card
punkgaopher
When are they supposed to be released?
punkgaopher
I would be extremely worried if my sphynx cat got out, especially in this heat.
Your boyfriend is a grown man, I understand once or twice leaving cabinet doors open but he knows you have a cat, he knows that cats like to try to get out, there is zero reason why he should leave any doors to the outside open.
Definitely report the cat lost so at least the authorities will be on the lookout, let neighbors know to keep an eye out, write up a post on the nextdoor app as well as any lost animal groups on Facebook. Print out flyers, put out a reward
It's not just that the cat is an expensive breed, that is your companion who was probably there before your boyfriend and is definitely going to be there after your boyfriend. For me, there would be no going back unless he sits there and finds that cat for me, and even then it would be an iffy situation because all he did was fix the problem he created.
I really hope you find your cat. Most likely the cat is hanging around nearby, but you have to worry about other animals and other people.
What floor is your apartment on? (Sorry if this has already been answered)

I believe Paramount+ has it, if you could somehow get a free trial you could potentially download it somehow.
If you have a Walmart+ subscription you can get either Peacock or Paramount+ for free, depending on which one you want.

Definitely up there in my favorites!! I also fall asleep to episodes, myself. Along with videos of interrogations.
My other favorites include Bill Curtis of Cold Case Files and the narrator of Gangland

Not me just now realizing that in store purchases are connected to your account. The way my phone displays the "orders" screen only shows "online" while the "in-store" selection is the same color as the background! I only happened to stumble across it when my finger slipped. Now I know for the future!! Thank you SO much again.

Not sure if it has a matching top since I got it off a sales rack. The tag says 100% cotton

THESE ARE IT!!! OMG. THANK YOU!!!!
How did you find them??
punkgaopher
Isn't that a crime? Abusing a Corpse?
He SHOULD feel bad, he defiled a woman after she had already been taken so soon.
But also, how/where did he get access to one?
punkgaopher
Definitely on his way to his final daughter's wedding that he paid for but isn't going to walk her down the aisle or get a first dance with.
punkgaopher
I mean, that looks like plain boiled chicken. Would you be scarfing that down like it's your last meal?
Homemade diets aren't just something you should home up on your own. You should visit and coordinate with a vet/pet nutritionist.
You can't just cook meat and feed it to a cat, there are a lot of extra vitamins you need to add to the dishes in order to meet their dietary requirements.
Ooohhh, hundreds?? Do you have a list handy? That sounds like an amazing project!!!
Edit: I'm dumb 🤣 I didn't realize you linked your website!! I'll read up tomorrow! Thank you so much for doing all that
