My tip is to not look up how to progress unless you are truly stuck. If numbers are going up, keep going and trying new things. Its way more satisfying to muddle through on your own, and not impossible to do so (some incrementals you really need a guide, but not this one).

You are right you probably could turn off a rogue LLM agent if you were able to communicate and coordiante. But the thing is you might not know in whic server it is on, how many there are out there. You coudl probably tunr it off if you turned large parts of the internet off, but good luck wiht dealing with the consequences of that.

If you are worried about compounding errors then fine. That is an engineering problem that does have solutions, and certainly not enough to stop an AI system causing havoc.

Just ask the coauthor. Don't do it in an accusatory way. From your post, you seem to be against the use of AI in writing. That is fine. Not everyone is. Why not start with your boundaries on AI use, and offer a solution if you don't agree on that. Some reasonable solutions would be you taking your name off the paper or you agreeing to write it instead.

I'm not homeless but it is definitely better to be too hot than too cold, in the UK. The hottest the UK gets is like 35 degrees at a push, which is uncomfortable but easily manageable with water and shade, whihc are both easily found. But we get to like minus 5 degrees or worse and that can kill you and is not a good time if you don't have a proper shelter.
