I don’t have the higher-level instructing knowledge like others on here, but two things that stand out to me are stance and lean. Your shins may be in contact with the front of your boot, but the rest of your body is so far back that you’re almost on the toilet, which will make it much harder to create powerful, controlled turns due to your weight leaning on the tails of your skis. Also, it looks like there may be an element of you leaning into the turn and hoping that the skis and edge angle will follow, rather than creating the edge angle and turn in your skis to necessitate the lean itself. Not sure if that makes sense, I can try and clarify if necessary

That’s what they’re designed to be used for

I disagree with some of these points, speaking as someone with a fully custom pair of boots from them

No you don’t, you can literally call the deep research model for OpenAI directly with an HTTP request

Surely this is the other way round? You encounter a problem and using your knowledge of n8n and you can fix it rather than sitting around waiting for a problem to make itself apparent to you so you can use n8n?

I'll try there. Thanks for letting me know.

Hey all,
I’m building up a front end around a Technics SL-150MK2 and trying to make one good decision rather than chasing upgrades later. I'm trying to get this setup to be the best it can be without entering diminishing returns territory, ideally so as to not upgrade for a while.
My other components are Meridian DSP7000 speakers and a Meridian G91A.
My shortlist setup (budget ~£2k with a £2.5k cap unless something is extraordinary):
- Tonearm: Rega RB880 or Origin Live Onyx (maybe Silver if worth it)
- Cart: Hana SL MkII (loved the look of the AT33PTG/II but it's discontinued)
- Phono: Schiit Skoll F (open to other stages in the same ballpark)
I'm aware that the Hana is LOMC, which is why I opted for the Skoll
What I’d love to hear from you:
- Main question, Is this the optimum phono + cart + arm for the price range
- How do people find the Onyx vs RB880 in real listening? Specs aside, is it more about flavour (Rega = tight/PRaT, OL = organic/warmer)?
- If you’ve upgraded (or have compared to similar arms) from Onyx → Silver, was it a big jump or just incremental refinement?
- For phono stages, would you stick with the Skoll F, or is there a different one (compatible with its relevant cart) at similar money that’s a clear sonic improvement?
If the consensus is “RB880 and Onyx are both excellent, pick your flavour,” that’s useful too.

There is a UGREEN 100W one that has 3 USB-C ports and a USB port too. Had one for ~5 months and just got another and they serve me well. Very small compared to Apple's ones too.

What camera and lens did you use for this? This is amazing

Yes, hire an instructor. Ideally a private lesson for both of you. Most places will be fine to rent equipment
