Pre-covid rosebud was packed full of people and had great drinks (and good food but not out of this world). I wonder if they could just go back to what made that work?
redcoatwright
I was basically ready to wipe my hands of the project, backed it on the original kickstarter too but then the sq42 playtest happened and I was sucked back in by the trailer/descriptions of the game
redcoatwright
Go read my post again, it was a bit more than just my coffee machine breaking. Have you ever had months on end where your kitchen had no counter or stove or walls?
redcoatwright
Well the first few people I answered earnestly and explained why I did not do that and then I wrote it in an edit on my comment and then 20 more people showed up to offer the same opinion.
Now assuming they read my comment that means they chose, after knowing the context plus my explicitly stating why we didn't buy a coffee pot to say the same thing.
This is condescending of them, a trend I've been noticing more and more on this site in recent years and instead of ignoring it, I decided to stand up for myself. So yes, I am defending myself against a bunch of ghouls who really just think it's important to speak even if they don't think about what they're saying.
redcoatwright
I think you are speaking to the wrong person, I wrote a post about coffee/breakfast being veey expensive and then a horde od unkind people descended to ply me with condescending comments.
If you want to promote kindness, maybe go bother them.
redcoatwright
Ah you're right, it was just condescending like all the others.
Two things I don't actually need people to tell me:
1) I can make my own coffee 2) I can have a coffee pot not in the kitchen
But yet again, baseless assumptions about my life/living situation are being made. Assume for a second that I actually do know 1/2 l, then you may realize that I had primarily good reasons for not making my own coffee.
redcoatwright
My mood is great, it's just one more reminder that people on here are entitled douchebags.
redcoatwright
I'm sorry but I don't remember asking anyone for their opinion on this.
redcoatwright
pretty much everywhere but I've wasted enough time and energy trying to explain shit to annoying internet assholes when that wasn't even the point of my comment.
redcoatwright
oh agreed 100% but the dunks is a 2 minute walk from my house lol
redcoatwright
It's crazy to me that you people think you have some kind of gilded understanding and can say stupid shit like this to random folk on the internet.
Condescending assholes just everywhere.
redcoatwright
I honestly have no idea what about my comment riled people up so much, I was literally just saying that buying coffee a lot is expensive AF and people out here thinking I don't know I can buy a coffee machine...
redcoatwright
My guy, if you think the 20 snarky comments about buying a coffee machine are "advice" then I think you need to re-evaluate shit. People telling me to get a coffee machine are being condescending and shitty, not helpful (cuz guess what, I do in fact know coffee machines exist).
So my reaction here is warranted if maybe a slight overreaction.

I mean PL is a good buy if there is not a new Space Sector hype because it's growing well, if there is a new space run then PL is going to explode in value and we'll probably see it at like 200. I mean it went from like 3 bucks to 50 in the last massive space rally.
Probably optimistic but the point still stands that in a space rally, PL will have an outsized movement.
redcoatwright
PL is going to be at 200 at some point in my life, I'm confident of that so will keep loading up.

Na, this is dumb, jr DS can easily cost more than that. where I am it'd be around 100k per year and that's their salary not the cost for them which would be probably 30% higher.
Also how much work gets done for 120k worth of tokens vs the salary of jr DS for a year, LLM is going to be doing 2-3x more work for sure.
Still, we should hire jr people cuz we need them to become sr people.
redcoatwright
Major leak, water damage, mold, fighting with insurance, spent almost a year with basically no kitchen.
Brother, maybe keep your shitty thoughts to yourself.
redcoatwright
No, because we didn't have a kitchen for almost a year due to water damage, fighting with insurance, mold everywhere and rebuilding the kitchen.
Kindly take your unwanted opinions and shove them alllll the way up your butt.
redcoatwright
I'm not really sure I get the hate going on here, are people really just this miserable online
redcoatwright
is it jeff's java?
redcoatwright
I have one, don't love it, it's finicky and easy to burn the espresso but definitely is the easiest/cheapest way to make espresso.
redcoatwright
Going out for brekkie, like to a diner or cafe and having a sit down breakfast is definitely a minor luxury but grabbing 2x pastries and 2x coffees is also like 20 bucks now which is nuts. In france or italy it would be 7-8 euro.
The US is just imploding, high rents/real estate prices, high fuel and energy prices, high healthcare costs are destroying the country and it's all arbitrary or bullshit.
redcoatwright
Yeah I've had a similar feeling, me and my wife do pretty well but our coffee machine died like a year ago and I've been buying dunks or broadsheet or wherever consistently since then and I recently did a thorough analysis of spend and realized how insane it is to consistently buy coffee.
Dusted off the old french press recently.
Edit: yall replying to me are just miserable people. Haven't bought a new coffee machine because the old one got flooded from the upstairs neighbor leading us to realize there was a ton of mold in our kitchen walls which we then fought with insurance over for months then had the walls ripped out and then had the kitchen rebuilt until a couple months ago.
to everyone making passing snarky comments, shut the fuck up, I know how to make coffee in most coffee making devices but circumstances made it difficult considering we rarely even had a counter top or working outlets in the kitchen.
Pre-covid the food was good but I agree the Indian diner fusion didn't work, the indian flavors ended up watered down to fit the diner cuisine and that ruined what makes indian food great.
