Being told you can have an abortion is not others imposing their values upon you. Your choices and your life are unaffected.

I would be surprised if that many people were booing him for “who he is”. He isn’t even openly queer, he just spoke out about receiving abuse that was homophobic.

More likely the fans are booing him for being a “snitch” and “ratting out” Rankine. I’ve seen people in the Facebook comments saying things like ‘whatever happened to “what happens on the field stays on the field”?’

Personally I think there’s better and more effective ways to get in your opponent’s head than calling him gay, but nobody ever accused Rankine of being intelligent. Same goes for many of the fans.
