Yep, I ran into the same wall with diminished value also. You basically need specialty insurance (w/declared value) to get that kind of coverage, which almost nobody is going to do for any normal car. This is what OP doesn’t realize: people with super valuable cars already have coverage for this stuff; it’s the normal folks getting hit who are constantly getting screwed with no recourse. This opinion just seems out of touch with reality.

Both TMNT 2: The Arcade Game and Batman: Return of the Joker for NES. My first NES game was Kung Fu; I never expected it to advance SO far beyond that.

Your point might stand if the general public carried anywhere near $150k liability insurance. The state minimum for property damage in California is $15,000. That is not even going to cover a totaled Toyota Corolla, and that’s the kind of coverage a LOT of people are driving around with, assuming they’re even compliant with the law.

Ask anyone in an even mid-tier luxury car who was hit and not at fault, the victim always gets the worst end of the deal. I also don’t get the idea of “financial ruin” because even if I sue you, the court can assign judgment but nobody is going to force you to pay, especially if you don’t have the means. I went through this a couple of years ago sitting at a stop light minding my own business when I got rear ended by some jerk with no insurance. All of my repairs came from MY insurance, and they got NOTHING from the person who hit me.

What trips me out is not that people ask this question, but that it has gotten asked almost every day for months and months, even though the answer hasn’t really changed.

“Diabolical.” People thought millennials were prone to hyperbole when we called everything “amazing,” but no, they managed to outdo us.

Earthworm Jim 2 - “See Jim Run, Run Jim Run” is the 3rd movement of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata.

Gyruss (NES, Arcade) uses modified Bach tracks

Wasn’t this the plot of Robocop 2 or something?

You get $200 in API credits per month which is a great bonus, but this is not the same thing as using your sub for Hermes. I’m pretty sure most people will blow through $200 in credits faster than they think.

I’ll give it a shot!

AT&T Fiber is also available in some areas where Frontier doesn’t have coverage

The purpose of Muse isn’t to run locally, it’s to have an operating environment that doesn’t require your main workstation/server to be always on and always connected. The majority of users only have a laptop, so it isn’t really practical to do that. Even since their partnership with Manus, Meta has understood the value of offering a pre-packaged agent with a cloud environment. As of the latest version, Claude Desktop is now offering this as an additional paid tier.

I personally run Hermes on a server in my home lab and access it through VPN. This is absolutely not going to be viable for most people.

Now, if you aren’t doing anything that actually requires always-on functionality, imho why not just run Cowork?

I had an early model I bought new at Guitar Center pretty close to when it came out, reached out to Rane about it even though it was out of warranty. They ended up replacing both jog wheels with the updated assembly, cleaned up the whole thing (faders, etc) and it came back as good as new. They only charged me shipping.

What’s not working with your RME? I insisted on running PC mode in Linux instead of class compliant for my Babyface Pro Fs, so I started making a driver for it so that I can eventually port a rendition of TotalMix. It’s going well so far, low latency, 32/48 native, all channels available.

I have a Trigkey N150 and GMKtec M6 both running 24/7 proxmox duty in a closet for about a year. Zero issues, would add more.

I wish I waited a day and got to try this before building my own image! The specs are nearly identical to mine since I went by your reference documentation, but yours has the improvement of having prebuilt flashinfer cache. Did a quick bench last night on a 450w workstation card using my image.

I never buy into the brochure, and only give benchmarks a grain of salt. Unfrotunately, real world testing is time consuming. So far, it seems like this runtime's headline is doubling the context window on TP1 with decent throughput (~170 tok/s) while keeping the ability to go up to C4 on the lower end. It won't be my daily driver, but I can see it being useful. This is on a WS card at 450w.

I still have a 7i gen 7 (3080ti)that I bought new. It has been upgraded to have both the original 2TB as well as an additional 4TB NVMe, and memory upgraded to 64GB ddr5 before prices got crazy. It’s still a workhorse, I use it for DJ gigs and dev consulting work, it has been around the world, and still looks aesthetically as good as new. It was the last of the all metal chassis with all of the I/O in the rear; it’s very heavy but very durable.

For comparison, my work-issued laptop is a more modern MSI with OLED, 5090 and AMD 395, but it has way less I/O, feels cheaper, and only marginally faster in the real world.

I don’t really daily drive either of them since building a desktop workstation (I work almost entirely remote). I don’t see myself replacing the Legion unless for some reason it gets lost or physically damaged.

Oh dang I better make sure my backups are up to date. Mine has been on 24/7 since March

Only those artists with drums would be heard more than 10 feet away, and it would only be the drums. Try singing with controlled tone outdoors when there’s a group of people making a normal amount of noise, it’s nearly inaudible to the person right next to you let alone any of audience.

rj_rad

Underrated response. I’ve been running containerized on a mini PC for 6 months. 32GB DDR5 has plenty of headroom along with all of the other containers running. Docker is not a limitation as far as I can tell.

I’m using a CyberPower OR2200PFCRT2U PFC Sinewave which protects it from surge and outage as well as voltage dips etc. It’s probably overkill but generally cheap insurance for the investment.

rj_rad

Some models fight the harness more than others — all else being equal, I had to quit Kimi K3 because of all of the reasoning noise.

It also helps to have the perspective that once you leave Reddit bias, you’ll see that most people use an older and/or casual productivity laptop with no dGPU at all, running on <50w TGP. Even an outdated mediocre gaming PC has MUCH more power than this.

I originally planned my build around a single 6000 so I went for a WS, but now that I’m thinking of a second one, I worry about how thermals will be. I’m using an ASUS PA602 case, do you think it has enough internal flow to support having a pair of WS cards on the board?

Also, do you worry about the weight of the cards putting pressure on the sockets?
