watch a video and follow along. Then pick a basic game and clone it. I watched a video about flappy birds. Then I made a snake clone.

Also, enter a game jam to challenge yourself and community.

ryati

what wrist garuds are these?

Update - The issue fixed itselt. Our other son played the game a bit and didn't have any issues. Then when younger son played next time it worked.

We did find a few other bugs though, but none as bad. There are times when he is able to open a chest through the wall, before he solved a puzzle to open the secret door in the wall.

ryati

He said that did not fix it. I am going to try to have him delete save then start over fresh

What makes it a Slice vs a Cut?

ryati

I plyaed in 1 tournament and lost all the games and got rated 1.0. So maybe we should play each other

ryati

Same. Enjoying it so far

Food def feels like a place I can improve.

Breakfast - granola mixed with protein powder in ziplock baggies Lunch - Sausages and Parmesan cheese (8 oz of cheese total) Snacks - various protein bars and re-packaged trail mix Dinner - 1 freeze dried bag (Peak Refuel) for each of us (4 total for 2 nights)

Last year, I did more of a homemade breakfast. It was quick oats, protein powder, pb powder, and dehydrated apples. It was good, but took time to heat up and clean up, so I was looking for a no stove option this time. I am worried about cold soaking because there can be bears.

Food is 2 nights for 2 people (myself and my son).

I know my pad is a bit on the heavy side, but I was playing around with a few options and upgrading my tent, backpack, and sleeping bag will get me pretty close to 7.6 lbs (for just thoese items). I could go lighter on the pad, but I am not sure I want to sacrifice my comfort on that yet. Maybe once I see how all the new stuff feels (once i can afford it all), then upgrade.

ryati

Ok nice. What Durston pack was it?

ryati

This looks like a good deal. I have never heard of this company before. I was looking at Big Agnes spur UL XL and it was over $600. This is cheap enough to just get now, haha.

ryati

Yeah, I was thinking that too. 36 wasn't bad. However, I want to plan longer/futher trips and thought it might catch up with me. My last two trips were just hike in on day one, play on day 2, then hike out on day 3. We are talking about doing the Rae lakes loop next year and going 10+ miles per day has me a little worried

ryati

Thanks, I will check this out. Yeah, we have an REI in town and I always check the used gear section. Haven't found anything yet. Lighter gear for the kid isn't a bad idea either.

ryati

you have to double bag the deet

ryati

yes, bear can is required.

ryati

char-squared or char2

ryati

so now it will only cost 119 billion instead of 120 billion?

ryati

I love this story. I live right near king's canyon and have never done this loop. I really want to some day.

ryati

I want to camp here when the water is slow and the fishing is good!
