The Jemima Catlin edition of The Hobbit is going to be closest to what you're looking for. Unfortunately there isn't anything like that for LOTR.

I own all 3 of the Catlin editions, and I would recommend the softcover as a reading copy. It's quite sturdy for what it is.

Depending on your budget, the Alan Lee box set is a great choice.

A couple options that are a bit pricier would be the deluxe set which is available on amazon and will run you about $300 https://www.amazon.com/dp/0063417065

Or my personal favorite is the 2004 deluxe editions of The Hobbit and LOTR, and 2007 deluxe edition of The Silmarillion, which can be found for about $280 total https://www.amazon.com/dp/000711835X

There's also these editions, which would run you about $130 for all three, but personally they aren't my favorite https://www.amazon.com/Hobbit-Illustrated-Author-Tolkien-Editions/dp/0063347539

Nope, never did. I haven't looked at all in probably a year and half though, maybe there's something out there now

It's called Clean the Steamboat. Just look up powerwash simulator on nexus mods

sam_wise_guy

They say that, but it is possible. There was one player-made map for PW1. I think it's doable, but devs don't want to implement a steam workshop because fewer people would buy the DLCs

If it's 15 inches or less, we just toss the whole thing on the grill with seasonings. No need to fillet

sam_wise_guy

I'm sure the heavier ones would do fine. I wouldn't trust my medium for that though

Love my Daiwa Tatula. Very sensitive rod, good casting

sam_wise_guy

I've never seen a book list 10 impressions before the 3rd edition, only 17 or 24. Does anyone know why they sometimes vary?

sam_wise_guy

Shoot me a message if you do plan to sell them

I also have one and can confirm that the text is in English. I don't remember if it is this one or another English version from Russia that I have that has an abridged text, made more simple to help Russians learn English

Mepps size 1 is 1/8oz

One of the few library editions I'm still on the search for

sam_wise_guy

They're not bots lmao, you're just a bit of a prick with your comments sometimes and it obviously sticks with people.

9780007182367 is a fantastic choice if you can find it for under $70. I have the matching edition of The Hobbit and it is one of my favorites in my collection.

sam_wise_guy

I collect these! There were a number of companies like this that would turn them into hardcovers for schools, both for libraries and classrooms.

Reel-wise the Daiwa Crossfire knocks it out of the park for $30. Then just pair it with any decent quality rod, I hear the Aird-x at $50-60 and Berkley Cherrywood for $30 are both good options.

I initially went for a $30 Daiwa combo and it was fine, but just not great. I upgraded to the Crossfire reel and it made fishing a lot more fun, no more line tangles. Now I've got a Tatula rod and an Exceler reel. You definitely get better quality with the higher cost stuff. But really don't sweat it if you're just beginning

Look up some different setups. Different types of fish prefer different types of lures and bait. Easiest fishing is worms on the hook with a bobber. The most fun in my opinion is inline spinners.

Just make sure to close the bail by hand after casting, otherwise your line will twist and get tangled under the spool. I learned that the hard way, it's common with cheaper reels

Yep, join a few different formats to see what you really like. I do a redraft with my homies every year, but last year tried out some dynasty formats which I ended up really liking. Just join some free ones, superflex, keeper, TEP, maybe guillotine if you're really feeling it. If you end up not liking the format or the people, you can just drop out at the end of the season nbd

I bought a pair from aliexpress for $2.50 that just go over my prescription ones. They're not amazing, but better than nothing and nice to have while I decide if I want to spend for something better

sam_wise_guy

Definitely go for the crossfire or sienna with whatever cheap rod strikes your fancy. I snagged my crossfire for $25 and it's great

sam_wise_guy

Interested

sam_wise_guy

I'm interested if it's sleeper

sam_wise_guy

I'm also interested if anyone has multiple spots or a new league they're trying to fill. Most interested in bestball and redraft, but open to dynasty
