i <3 crimea bean kit

sarkid0

You already made the right choice with MCSO SAR. Really enjoyed my time on the team, and the wide variety of missions and training I was exposed to. I wouldn’t look to take on extra responsibility until you get a feel for the team, and the time required.

the WAS DCS is the only thing both sides in that conflict can agree are good. cool kit man:)

sarkid0

would be cool in anything but multicam black…

sarkid0

love my cyma mid caps. they feed great i everything but my E&L which will ONLY feed E&L magazines.

this is a questionable “ratnik” kit but very close to being a good 2014 crimea/current DPR militia kit. swap the 6sh122 for a yadushkin summer or a kzm suit in white leaf and you’re essentially there. 6b47 is kosher for current DPR militia. you can look up “sparta battalion” for more references.

iirc the story behind this photo is that this MP40 was captured at a checkpoint coming into donetsk, and the soldier who found it took a photo.

this is a romanian bayonet. this bayonet would be matched to a rifle, whose serial numbers varied through the years. CU prefix is a romanian serial number from a 1971 md. 63, probably a bayonet from someone’s G parts kit.

you can use any sort of full seal ANSI rated googles if protection is important to you. mesh mouth guard under a balaclava or a sports style mouth guard are popular mouth pro options.

sarkid0

every event one person does it, and they are always mocked endlessly. will they turn you away? probably not, but it’s against tacsop and the spirt of the game.

sarkid0

black moss winter gear goes so hard. where did you find the shoulder patches? been looking for some for my summer black moss set.

sarkid0

anything north of a 60/6 is worth a shot, based on the height/weight in the OP. your ideal size would be 62-64/6-7 which is hard to find. sizing tends to vary across brands, and any sort of masking suit is designed to fit baggy.

i think finding a smersh belt setup would be infinitely cooler than any standard plate carrier setup, even a new gen which is easier to find. you can get repro 6b23 armor set for around $140 on aliexpress and wear that under your smersh. add the 6b47 on top and you have a really cool kit.

sarkid0

you would need to have something like this custom made. there is no off the shelf gold leaf 6b47 helmet cover, nor is there any plate carriers in that color. as far as uniforms go you would be looking at your standard masking suits. there are not any smocks in that camo that are readily available anymore. KLMK is a old camo that is mostly phased out.

for real gear you want to get into the facebook groups. you will be hard pressed to find specific gear elsewhere . green bean gear, demych’s bakery, and zuta are all retailers with real gear, and good reputations if you want sites to browse. i don’t really recommend greyshop/kula unless you know the brands to avoid.

can’t believe i used to chase shoplifters for $14.50 for target. i remember I had a month with over $10,000 in PMRs and my reward was a stuffed target dog. job was not worth what they were asking us to do.

ATACS FG kits are my favorite. If you want to fill out your battle belt a bit more you could add 2 rifle fast mag pouches, and an IFAK and dump pouch in back. Very common setup seen on Russian SOF units.

sarkid0

Yeah the “Grizzly” and “Hunter”. They are out of production. LCT essentially makes the same product now (for more money of course).

sarkid0

You are thinking of LCT. CYMA does not currently make Zenitco reps.

sarkid0

It’s definitely pricey. I bought it for pure convenience, because finding a Slavyanka set small enough for me was impossible. In my experience the pants fit large and the shirts fit small in the sleeves for your info before ordering. The rest of the kit sounds fine. Keep in mind a new FSBshop helmet is at least 6 months of lead time at the moment it seems like.

sarkid0

You will need a non-multicam uniform set to comply with TACSOP for RUSFOR. ATACS-FG is the current choice. The easiest to get is Tactical Performance, which is US based or look for a used ANA G3 set in the discord/facebook groups. Meta belt right now is Ars Arma Ronin. You will also need either an LSHZ 1+ or FAST with proper cover.

sarkid0

A MC DCS will work for a few different impressions, FSB included. It is a great all around plate carrier. What milsim event are you trying to run at?

sarkid0

Zaslon is not easy. If you want to do milsim, which it seems like you do, DON’T do zaslon. The kit is very niche, and has almost no purpose in force on force milsims. You also WILL be laughed at if your kit sucks, as is tradition.

The FSB Recon kit pic you linked is from Milsim West. The guy in the photo is on a CA based RR team called Sokol. He typically wears a MC DCS with the leaf suit top over it, so you can do something similar if you want to run a plate carrier. Typically a recon kit will use a Mk2 though, like you said.

sarkid0

have you ever seen the FSBshop gladiator? the issue with bastion is how much you pay versus what you’re getting. the stitching is not milspec, the colors are off, and the materials are wrong.

sarkid0

the K6-3 seems kind of off, given the rest of the kit. you are reasonably close to an FSB kit if you swap the helmet for an LSHZ 1+ or even a modern FAST helmet with a multicam helmet cover. try to avoid bastion repro gear in the future. it has a terrible reputation for quality and accuracy to the original.

sarkid0

not one for sniper rifles but this has some unexplainable appeal to me. i like that you made it yours.
