(Meta) Ricky Stanicky. As much of a PITA as they are, id recommend an inflatable mattress if you're going with a soft topper, as they are easier to mitigate mold and mildew buildup in a less-than totally watertight scenario. Inflatable can be basically sanitized with a wet wipe, whereas if foam gets wet and stays wet for any length of time, its basically trash as you'll never be able to clean it thoroughly enough to totally get rid of the funk.

No longer produced, so you'll have to find a used set. In me experience they run about $50 at a swap meet, $100 on Craigslist, $200 on ebay.
