Are we not allowed to say pedophile on the internet anymore?

I'm a guy and looking around, I can't imagine what it's like to be woman in the world today. It looks like a goddamn nightmare.

Anyone who says "not all men" is just like you said, a shitty, average male who can't think past that dumbass statement. If they did they'd see it really is all men. And yes, I'm including myself in that statement. The difference is that I can accept that and do what I can to change things.

I lurk in here because I like seeing the tides of change in women pushing back against the patriarchal bullshit I grew up around and now have to unlearn.

I'm not sure how much this helps, but some of us are out here doing the therapy, reading the books, seeing the psychiatrists and working on themselves. I know it doesn't seem like it, but we exist.

Is that Brock Allen Turner, the guy convicted of raping an unconscious girl next to a dumpster at a party? The same Brock Allen Turner who lives in Dayton Ohio and now goes by Allen Turner?

savax7

All the old etiquette books say it's impolite to show up to a party on time. The host is likely still putting the finishing touches on things. 15 minutes late is on time.

Just bought a copy thank you 🙏

Jesus why argue with this person, they're clearly a fucking moron. Take some pictures and file an insurance claim, let them deal with going after the other driver.

You are fined one credit for a violation of the Verbal Morality Statute.

I met someone who "works" at PH at a tech conference. I use quotes because apparently almost nobody works at PH, it's a bunch of subsidiaries and it's mostly just coding like any other website.

Bernie would have been even better.

This is a VERY important point a lot people are missing, likely because they're commenting on r/legalaadvice with no legal experience in this situation.

Everyone's saying "don't take the money, file for child support". That sounds great, but OP needs to be aware that if her ex gets hit with a support order, he could go back to court and start fighting for custody just to drive down the amount of money he has to pay. OP could wind up with a 50/50 custody order that gets her $0 child support and she has to deal with her kid being with dad 50% of the time.

If you do file for child support that means that Dad usually (it differs by state) gets things like first right of refusal, to attend all visits to the Doctor, choice of school, etc. Another big one is that OP won't be able to move out of state and sometimes even out of the county (again, varies depending on where you are) without a court order, which Dad gets to have his say in.

I went through this with my kids mom - she wanted all of the child support but did not want to give me any of the parental rights that comes along with that. I've also seen the flipside, where one of my best friends had a baby who's dad was on drugs and in and out of jail (another story altogether) and she intentionally didn't file for support because A) he wouldn't be able to pay it anyways, and B) she didn't want him to be able to fight for custody.

I hope OP sees this because there's a lot more to it than "girl just file for child support you'll get more money".

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

A budget will set you free. Good news is you're only 28 and if you start taking care of this now, you'll have great habits going into your 30's and beyond.

When you start budgeting, don't get discouraged. It takes months to get the hang of it and I've spent years getting mine really dialed in. Just take it month by month and if you slip up, keep going and fix it next month.

There are lots of different ways to budget, you mentioned the envelope method. YNAB is really popular, everydollar is free but requires a bit of manual work, spreadsheets are also free but can be daunting. Search around on here and youtube and see what works for you. Feel free to DM me for help. You got this!!!

Probably bear spray.

I'm expecting these to start popping up on marketplace/offerup as we slide towards recession. People will still be able to get them secondhand.

It's because in the trailer, the way Jack Black reads a few lines are just kinda dumb. The emphasis he puts on "I am Steve" and "chicken jockey" are just bad takes. So some people on tiktok started making fun of it, and it gathered steam from there, culminating in a viral video where a group of young adults went nuts and threw their popcorn everywhere when he read those lines. Once that happened, people started copying it.

savax7

What scale was this? A scale that went up to 475lbs?

savax7

Every time someone says "hands you thought about getting a cat" I always say "I don't have anywhere I'd like to put a box of cat shit".

savax7

I think you're a little bitch hiding behind a keyboard and wouldn't say shit to anyone. Cause you're a little bitch.

savax7

That's not where this happened?

savax7

Do you have any proof of that or are you just going around commenting that?

savax7

Can you not fucking read? Jesus christ this is why I never comment on this sub yall are fucking retarded.

I learned absolutely nothing financially this episode.

This has been increasingly true especially over the past week, and I'm not sure I'm going to keep watching. Earlier episodes were more interesting because they'd go through the audit, Caleb would call out the bullshit spending, they'd build a budget together and come up with a financial plan. The guests usually had something unique to their situation that made it interesting and there was something the viewer could take away from the episode.

Recently it's just been "here's the most fucked up situation we could find". Maybe it's entertaining from some angles but not financially. I hope they go back to people who are willing to work a plan otherwise there's not a lot to enjoy here.

That's not what the first amendment is for. You're still liable for libel, defamation, etc.
