What’s a fladger though

Is that from Wasted Lands?

I don’t go barefoot, but I have discovered shoes with flatter insoles and firmer, shorter soles feel more stable than, E.G., my Nike trail runners.

Seriously! His Kithamar trilogy is great too, and I got a copy of the first 2 in the Long Price quartet this year.

I heard it too, I’m amazed I still have power here on Highland.

Tree fell on canyon court between SW Highland and the overpass. From a neighbor:

Daniel Abraham’s Dagger and Coin series! I feel like I’m constantly screaming on here about it. He’s 1/2 of the duo that wrote The Expanse, and not enough people on here are into it.

Even within the crew, tbh, but this is a great summary.

Those tricep extensions would make me fear for my elbows! 😅

Snort-laughed at this one

I lived in Irvington for the first 10 years of our time in Portland and while it is walkable, I think the distances to walk are farther than in North Tabor. However, Irvington is my #1 favorite neighborhood to walk in , from the architecture to the trees to the parks, it’s 10s across the board.

Not to mention painful!

FOH

I have blacked out maybe twice in my life, and I’m 51. Three to four times a year is extremely concerning IMO.

RIP to your mom, and her collection of orbs is amazing!

I think I would need to see a decent-sized peer reviewed study on that, as well as what constitutes a couple and how long said couple lasts.

Edit: Yikes, are there any basic physiological differences in height for men vs women that might account for that? 🧐 Yikes, does that relate to the question asked, or is it totally irrelevant and also contains no primary sources?

scdemandred

The chortle I just chortled! 🤭

Women are generally less concerned about looks and more concerned about emotional connection.

This obviously isn’t 100% true for all women, but guys tend to think women are way more concerned with physical characteristics that they are because that’s what guys are generally attracted to.

This leads to a lot of unnecessary obsession with looks by guys who compare themselves to unrealistic examples online and then drop into a bottomless hole of insecurities.

You’re going to die alone if you don’t get out of this incel prison … all of your comments are the most repulsive gibberish and I’m dismayed that I can understand it.

Log off and meet real people please

Also dating sites and apps are not real life, they’re a gamified experience where users commodify people and can treat them like objects. Whatever data they have doesn’t reflect how actual people connect.

scdemandred

This is the correct answer. It took me forever to figure out this is what Punji meant by “miniopolis” because he never explains his terminology or his strategy. 😅

scdemandred

Truer words were never spoken. Is there an analogous rule to Rule 34 for random objects, that if they bear even a passing resemblance to a sex toy, someone has probably at least made an attempt? 🤔

scdemandred

Maybe, but this post has my “overly insecure” alarm blasting. Whenever someone brings up Norwood, 9/10 times they have a full head of hair and have gotten twisted up because of minor hairline recession or an offhand cruel comment from some “friend” or loved one.
