I served in churches as a pastor and music minister for four years, then got a "secular job" in IT to support my young growing family. I ended up stepping down from "professional ministry" and just did lay ministry for many, many years. Then eight years ago I returned to pastoral ministry in a bi-vocational role.
I pray your son will hear the voice of the Lord clearly and be clearly led in the paths he is to take!

For all its positive achievements for women, feminism has been the impetus toward gender-neutral language.

The ones shouting "Hosannah" sought a political solution to their woes - changing their government. Jesus brought a spiritual solution - changing their hearts.

No argument about the aims and effects of post-modernism, but I suspect this started with feminism and went into full gear with post-modernism.

I agree completely with Papapet_Meriot. Good breath support and tension reduction affect pitch accuracy significantly. If breath support isn't adequate or you have tension in your neck, lips, throat, jaw, etc., you run the risk of pitch accuracy being affected.

You will need to learn how to control your breath, and reduce tension in your vocal apparatus, as well as other things. You need a voice coach!

Wise counsel.

I wouldn't discount the premarital counseling, assuming it's deeply Scriptural and spiritual. Though they've been together for many years, they've not lived together as husband and wife. The possibility that they can learn some things that will help them as a married couple and as new parents is real.
