? If you guys are getting mandatories for something like that then you could use a better system…

Access to mental health services.
How many mass shooters have we had that didn’t have a warped and pessimistic view of the world?
And a monstrous chunk of the rest of gun violence is just suicide.
If we could minimize those two areas then most Americans would be far more open to keeping guns in America.

I don’t know who Norman is but he sounds like an imbecile

If you can, switch to coffee based energy drinks which can have some cardiovascular benefits. Overall though up to 400mg caffeine is considered safe.

It is part of your job to determine viability. A primary search is time sensitive, hence why we do a primary before the longer secondary. We shouldn’t waste time searching an area that can’t sustain life when there’s someone running out of time the next room over.

In my state EMTs can draw epi 1:1 and give it IM. If I did that off duty I’d be crucified. Same with CPAP, Igels, and probably a lot of other things.
The best rule of thumb is that off duty you are allowed to do anything that another person without official certifications would reasonably do (either known via first aid class or 911 instruction
- CPR
- rescue breathing
- positioning
- TQ
- wound packing
- closing of sucking chest wound
- aspirin
- narcan
- EpiPen
- inhaler
- oral glucose
- stroke assessment
This is already a pretty encompassing list to cover 99% of the basic interventions that would happen on a call anyway. If they still die before we get there they were probably dying anyways.

I would turn down a lifetime of free reservations at three star Michelin restaurants just for one helping of chilis chips and queso.

Get the three of you in the back and Nebulize some ketmine for a good time

We would be the food (talking about viruses that adapt to use our cells but our immune systems haven’t adapted to see them)

Surely it plays a role in terms of temperature homeostasis, your body wants to operate at a very specific temperature (~98.6F) and when you do hard work excess heat is produced (via energy production O2+sugar=ATP/energy, CO2, *and heat*). That’s why you shiver when you’re cold, to generate heat! Anyway, your brain will reinforce drinking cold water over tepid or especially warm water (because drinking warm water would add more heat to the body!), as this will help cool the body from the *inside* as well as the outside (your body has a lot of different mechanisms to get rid of excess heat like sweating!) This is actually one reason why part of the ALS level treatment for heat stroke is chilled or room temperature IV NS fluids as this helps disperse a cooling product into the body.
Fuck yea, GOTTEM! Damn I’m smart, you must feel so dumb right now! This is why they made me a discord mod!

Technically I would prefer FMJ for penetration of cover, specifically car doors, wood planks/studs, furniture, and urban outside objects. It’s intriguing how few places there are to hide when using FMJ.
Granted I don’t regularly carry, and usually pick my load out in terms of assualting an area.

So you’ve essentially made an M1 Garand with a pistol grip?

It’s interesting how concrete the data is on the negatives of sleep disruption, and how little is done about it in the fire service. In the next few decades I can definitely envision us all working 24/72s and wondering how we ever did 24/48s

Try an online store like zenni, there’s some pretty cheap options and my buddies say theyre nice. I’m going to try it as soon as I have the time to order it.

Take every TDY, DFT, and deployment opportunity you can get. Get with family readiness and actually *understand* what benefits you get. Use that GI bill - you’ll have plenty of time to take online classes at the station preferably not through the CCAF.
Know your job and what’s expected of you at each rank. Start with understanding the CFTEP, enlisted force structure, and airman’s manual. Your supervisor should be able to get you copies of these, they’re also all on the Air Force e-publishing website.
Keep up your physical fitness. The AF PT test is a joke. You should strive to get at least a 90+% minimum. That’ll feel like a cakewalk compared to recovering a pilot in the middle of nowhere…
Please if nothing else, follow that first paragraph. The Air Force is an amazing way to *get payed* to travel the world, get ahead, and come out with a college degree. You’re gonna have a great time!

Hi! Yeah a great compromise would be to scale back cardio to one day *or* do shorter sessions on both days. And it’s not permanent, you can *gradually* get back to where you were over the course of a month or two.
Also about the period, yeah that’s an indication that the body is too stressed. It will come back hopefully by your next cycle or the one after. When I went to basic training it was actually very common for the women to lose theirs. Not to say it’s not unhealthy but not something you need to stress yourself over more so long as you are taking steps to get it back. And of course just to cover another base, please get a pregnancy test done if you are sexually active at all.
Also 100lbs at 5’2”? Don’t worry about putting on a few pounds, you’ll still be super tone I’m sure. I’m glad you’ve got a dietician, they’ll be able to guide you better.

But why haven’t you talked to the kid?
screen-protector21
What have you done to fix this?

I mean, I’ve been in pc since before the 1.0 release and it’s been one of my favorite games since.

It’s doing real good on steam.

Your own home. The world will immediately become chaos and almost every single person will want to ensure their own survival first. If you leave for somewhere else then you run the risk of not having food, water, shelter, or hygiene items when you get there. You probably have at least a week’s worth of this stuff at home. Not to mention you’ll be in a very unknown area.
Every zombie scenario (for the plot) drastically underestimates how powerful a military response to this would be. If you can shelter in place for a couple weeks the worst would likely be over.
Obviously this doesn’t apply to anyone caught in the epicenter of it.
Also a little fun fact, the US military actually made a plan for a zombie apocalypse. It was only made as a fun way to train new officers in how to form war strategy, but its official, very well thought out, and available to the public.
Edit: found it! https://www.stratcom.mil/Portals/8/Documents/FOIA/CONPLAN_8888-11.pdf?ver=2016-10-17-114016-887

In addition to what everyone else has said, there’s definitely a noticeable difference when your union is setup and functioning well compared to one that isn’t. Illinois has one of the best unions for firefighters, and we make 2-3x what any other state does and get a lot more time off as well.

There’s really two parts to it,
Part 1: the initial invasion in response to 9/11 where the US, afghan military, and NATO took back the country from the taliban who were supposedly the primary supporter of al queda. The country was given back to the afghan government and then we moved into part 2.
Part 2: after the initial invasion, the country’s government was weak, there was constant threat of terrorism to their own people, and there were still some taliban cells dispersed about. Osama bin Laden still hadn’t been found. The us and allied forces began trying to help the afghan people rebuild their government and be able to defend themselves whilst simultaneously looking for leads on bin Laden who was later successfully killed. After this the main objective was just trying to not leave the afghan people on their own but after 20 years of basically no progress it was pretty much deemed a lost cause. The US evacuated as many afghans out of the country as possible (~130,000) before giving it back to the taliban.
And of course we have all the profit the politicians made off of dragging it out so long.
Oh… yeah my bad, I was on a DoD department for a bit. Would not recommend lol.
