scseven

hey apple hey hey apple

scseven

'only horror characters' and bob the minion being here is frying me

scseven

currently reading:

toshikazu kawaguchi - tales from the café
• really good read so far! i actually started this book a couple years ago but never finished it, after reading the first book in the series somewhat recently (and loving it) i'm reading this one:))

fyodor dostoevsky - crime and punishment
• not 100% sure on this one yet... i'm not usually a fan of classic literature but wanted to give this a try. it's not bad but it's taking a little while for me to get into it

i also finished the thursday murder club by richard osman a couple days ago, a really good read!

the number 12 on her shirt🥲

scseven

pristin!!

scseven

people using their phones - the amount of times i've seen the driver in front or behind me NOT move because they're too busy texting...🫠 not only that but in general using your phone while you drive is so dangerous, there's nothing on your phone SO important that you need to be on it wiole you're driving

tailing!! i've noticed this is less of a problem for people i know that have big cars, but in 20mph areas especially (wales...🥲) i've noticed this is a really big problem

scseven

peeped the stardew valley profile pic👀

scseven

as someone who lives in wales i can confirm a lot of drivers do not obey the 20mph limit, at least in the area i live in🥲i get tailed all the time it's awful, but yes i agree that (if people actually stuck to them) more 20mph roads in areas like this would be much safer

scseven

i love mystery and japanese lit too, just finished reading the decagon house murders and i really enjoyed it🐢

hi everyone! i read mostly japanese and korean literature but if something interests me i'll give it a try🫶 i particularly enjoy mystery fiction and cosy reads. can't wait to be friends with you all!

scseven

LMAOOOO sorry i did giggle at this a little bit😭 some vinted users are ridiculous

scseven

everytime they post this on here i'm always like 'yep i'm gonna read these!' and i find something completely different to read instead😅😅

out of all the books i've read recently i'd recommend 'the decagon house murders' the most! if you're interested in mystery fiction that one is really good

scseven

just finished: yukito ayatsuji - the decagon house murders & hiromi kawakami - strange weather in tokyo

'the decagon house murders' (5⭐️) was really good and i'm planning to read the other books in the series. 'strange weather in tokyo' (3⭐️) was nice but i found the relationship between sensei and tsukiko strange, not so much them spending time together etc but the age gap between them (especially when sensei knew her as a child) made me uncomfortable. the story itself is well written though

currently reading: N/A

noticed that everytime i comment on these posts i don't end up reading half the 'up nexts' i put at the end😅😅 but here's some i'm planning to read by the end of the year (i don't think i'll read all of them but these are ones i'm most interested in):

  1. richard osman - the thursday murder club
  2. yukito ayatsuji - the mill house murders
  3. neil gaiman - coraline (this one is definitely overdue, i've seen the film a million times and absolutely love it but i've never read the book before😳)
  4. toshikazu kawaguchi - tales from the café
  5. hisashi kashiwai - the menu of happiness
  6. yáng shuāng-zǐ - taiwan travelogue
scseven

not sure about apple music but i can't play jump or sad song on spotify🥲 i can play all their other songs tho

scseven

me when i keep saving drafts and i've run out of ne ideas for the documents

i read mostly japanese/korean literature but i'm branching out a little bit, can't wait to be friends with you all!

scseven

just finished: Ray Bradbury - Fahrenheit 451

i read this book immediately after finishing george orwell's '1984', and i'll say reading the two books back to back was an interesting experience for me. i appreciated the message of bradbury's book, i think there's a lot to reflect on and it's both fascinating and scary how much of it we're able to apply to the modern world

i didn't enjoy this book as much as maybe i was expecting to, not that i didn't enjoy it but i'm not sure if the writing style was for me... i'm definitely glad i read it though

currently reading: Hiromi Kawakami - Strange Weather in Tokyo

so far i'm not enjoying but not NOT enjoying it... if that makes sense? it's a bit slow paced, i'm only halfway through so far so we'll see!

up next (not in any particular order):

  1. Yukito Ayatsuji - The Decagon House Murders
  2. Hiromi Kawakami - The Nakano Thrift Shop
  3. Richard Osman - The Thursday Murder Club

no.1 i've had on my tbr for a while, i found it at my local library and decided to pick up. i'll probably start this one after finishing my current read

no.3 i listened to first as an audiobook but didn't end up finishing it. i also made the mistake of watching the film before reading the book (i wish i hadn't🥲 the film is good though highly recommend). really wanted to go back and try this one again so i bought a physical copy this time, i'm excited!

scseven

this is incredibly cool

i read a mix of different things! i read a lot of japanese and korean literature but i'm trying to expand a little more.

i just finished reading '1984' by george orwell, and at the moment i'm trying to expand my horizons a bit by reading some more modern classics! i like cosy reads the most, but if something interests me i'll give it a read:))

can't wait to be friends with you all on storygraph<3

scseven
