You don't doubt I'm right? Oh, great, now I can rest easy that YOU believe me. Hey scientists and nutritionists, ExBritNStuff believes us! We can quit now!
Anyway, you're oversimplifying it. Big factors are also meal frequency, gaps between meals, and activity level. Can't just isolate individual things and pop out a magic answer.
A lazy pile of crap who watches Jeremy Kyle all day on 3,000 calories a day is going to stay fat. An athlete training 6 hours a day on 3,000 calories a day is not going to get fat.

He/she's right. A high intake of carbohydrates sustained throughout every day is more strongly associated with high bodyfat levels, because it usually leads to poor insulin sensitivity and nutrient partitioning.
Edit: If you're having trouble 'believing' me, I don't give a fuck, because this is widely accepted in the nutritional world. Go and check out /r/keto, and read this article about carbohydrates, insulin, and bodyfat.

Skimmed milk is basically lactose and water. Sugar water.

The 'Quiet Zone' is a farcical joke. Quietness is never enforced, and there are always a few people who just come on the train and sit down anywhere, not realising which carriage they're in, or whether the seats are pre-booked.
The numbers of people who eat crunchy crisps with their mouths open, have their headphones on max, or get piss-drunk (I'll save my rant on alcohol on trains for another time) are too damn high.

After England beat Scotland in the rugby I could have sworn I caught a few people giving me dagger looks as I was speaking to my girlfriend in my English accent as we walked down the ailes in Sainsbury's. (Where I live is pretty provincial.)
What's funny is that I actually support Scotland in rugby. After going to private school down south I know exactly the kind of people who eventually reach the national team.

Josh Radnor's acting is great.

I like to think that controversy is the sign of a good and pertinent comment ;)

Yeah, it's more disturbing when you realise how much money they make from pumping out certificates for their coaches. I believe it's something like $1,000 per person the last time I checked, and they easily fill all of their 50 places each weekend.
I think the attraction is that people like being part of a club, or a tribe. Whereas I've always been the type of person to trail blaze and learn everything myself.

I've read one or two CrossFit blogs out there, a sizeable proportion of them see the inevitable injuries as a badge of pride.
You have to remember that CrossFit isn't exercising for a goal (i.e. what we call training), but exercise is the goal. And the injuries come along with that.

It's intense athletic training for the professional non-athlete. It's Watercooler Polo.

It's probably Fiverr arbitrage.

You'd be surprised at how many media outlets exploit the fact that quite a lot of people haven't heard of reddit.

Shut up Meg.

She's a dick. Maybe she's been a boss for too long.
I remember reading an interesting story about retired army colonels who thought people had gotten ruder since they had joined the army several decades before. Kinda true - but it was more just because they were so used to having their arses licked every day.

Generally it goes like this for most issues in the independence debate: The SNP say yes, the people who actually have a say in the matter say no.

'Learnt' is a shorter version of 'learned'. Nothing wrong with it per se but some consider the longer original version to be more correct.

Trentahost have specific ddos protection services that are ridiculously cheap. I have a few of my micro-websites on their $1.95/month rate.

"Sorry guys, that'll be another £100m and 5 years of construction work... see you in 2019."
Unlearn that, slap yourself in the face, and do some more research.
This is a good article with lots of academic references.
And for people still downvoting my original comment, here's another explanation from the same site about saturated fat.
