I swear Muse fans are becoming almost as unbearable as Radiohead fans...i mean i dont want people not to enjoy themselves and love what they love fine im glad someone does that,but maybe dont say it in public because really as someone that muse was my band that i grew up with and stuff this is not it ..nowdays i listen every day to new bands and old stuff discovering working with bands...and this is just mediocre polished corporate filler, it's not muse

Well the mix makes or breaks the song ..im sure the songs i hate like Nightshift will sound amazing live but studio is too polished its almost insulting to me

YES,thats why i love muse the unfiltered falsetto and guitar noise ..you cant replicate that on a DAW really with all the digital stuff theyve been doing...idk what Drones did to then as much as the album is not perfect no one is saying it is its genuinely the last album i felt something they didnt try to be anything special its just muse jamming with old school equipment...this feels like someone is writting and polishing remixing their stuff i know they wanna be up with the kids im not even 25 but i genuinely feel like they are targeting people that know nothing about music and want polished crap

Surprised you are down voted...but not really... valid exactly what i feel like and other friends of mine that have long gone stepped away from muse,but i wont i love this band live they are as good as ever...studio wise they are okay this album is ok its not great its not amazing its okay...just like drones and T2L but again it felt much more amazing listening to those even if on quality they are the same,idk this feels too sterile as you said,but idk if these are floods of new fans discovering their first actual band...like ok if i listen to Ariana grande,21 pilots and Chapel this would be the best shit ever like hearing for the first time...but its really not better than anything before bhar...and there are MANY bands in their 60s doing different stuff or better than their youth more mature music,this to me looks like they struggle to find their ground but afraid to push boundaries,weird feeling and probably I'll get donvoted but i dont care i know some muse fans understand what im saying

Dark forest is a good textbook muse opener so id give it maybe even a 5/5 Nightshift is modern slop 1/5 cant stand the production Shimmering 2/5 just a diatonic filler,same shit i knew like some were glazing Verona and stuff thats generic they will do the same with this one... Cryogen 4/5 is just muse forcing too much production wise ,otherwise a decent song Be with you 1/5 muse at their worst Hexagons 3/5 overhyped because its their first song in odd time in years but nothing much then arpgegios slapped The sickess in you and i 3/5 too generic tuck commercial Unraveling 5/5 this one gave me hype but yeah best song on the album fresh yet interesting Hush trying to be sonne too hard 2/5 generic but good riff Space debris 3/5 okay but not ruled by secrecy

So what do people find so amazing here? Im genuinely asking? Because Muse fans used to be music fans,it seems now newer muse fans listen to horrible music and then listen to Muse and are shocked like they've discovered something new or whatever...just listen to more music,thats why to me the first 4 are special nothing felt forced and i can definitely seperate muse from other bands... but here its just that production magic hiding the raw creativity and talent since simulation theory

How can you anticipate something you have no clue on? Then even if its bad you'll say its their best song or something god new muse fans just are the same as marvel fans

Dissapointed by this album,just okay but thing is they still chase modern trends which suck since drones...just one step better than the last 2 ,im not expecting them ever to return to their peak even if they can ,they clearly have to please some chairmen and it is what it is
