Yea we don’t use the tracks, usually just glue down the transitions. We also modify them or use custom stained and modified wood transitions a lot. The main issue we always have is finding an LVP reducer than reduces more than a few mm. We often will just rip a t-molding down and use that. I had heard a few years ago that one company manufactures almost all LVP transitions for almost all of the LVP manufacturers and that was why they are so limited.

The good thing about hardwood is that you can make or modify any transition you need. And that is what I probably would have done in this case. I didn’t realize this was laminate, yuck.

Edited to add: I’m not sure what flooring distributors you use, but in my experience there’s usually a reducer, a t-molding, an end cap you can tuck carpet to and a stair nose offered for each LVP product. They all use janky track systems and they all kind of suck. If you’ve found somewhere that offers more I would love to hear about it.

One of the main problems with LVP is that they offer very little in the way of transition pieces. Doesn’t matter what product you buy, they have like three or four transitions and they’re all kind of terrible. All of this to say, your installer did a good job with what was available.

Most of the suvs you’ll find in your price range (if not all) are going to require premium gas, unfortunately. So either deal with the extra at the pump and get an Acura RDX or a Lexus NX350 or similar, or just get a brand new CRV or RAV4 and hope that the fact that they’re new will mean they’re better with road noise, etc.

Do you have a job? Are you good with fixing things? The car is probably great but the repairs will be costly. If you make good money, are good at fixing cars or are friends with a mechanic, it could be the perfect car for you. If not, it may not be.

Totally normal, just highlights the difference in plumb between your wall and the tile. It can be floated out with spackle or simply caulked and painted to match wall color.

Small powder room is totally doable, main obstacles off the top of my head are pulling and re-setting the toilet and vanity. Are you getting a new vanity? Is it a pedestal sink? Reusing existing vanity? How comfortable are you with light plumbing?

You can find good cars with much lower miles than what you have pictured here in pretty much the same price range. As far as models go, Lesabre and Town Car both have bulletproof motors. You should also be looking at early-2000s Toyotas and Hondas.

What are you tiling? A floor or an entire full bath? Floor is pretty simple, full bath with shower is a little more involved. I’ve been doing tile for over 25 years. If you tell me what your project looks like I can give you my opinion as well as answer any questions you have and help you through the project.

I agree, I would start Boston

I feel the opposite. Pollard has a solid floor and Boston has a higher ceiling

Off the top of my head. I like stuff that has complex rhymes or a good beat (hopefully both)

Not bad. The front (narrow part) of the knee wall has some rough-looking cuts. As some others have said, I’d recommend going with a neutral grout that will kind of hide some of the inaccurate cuts.

As an Eagles fan, we are not looking good this year. If and when Barkley comes back, he’ll be working behind a severely depleted offensive line currently missing Lane Johnson to retirement, Cam Jergens to a trade and Landon Dickerson to IR. There’s a strong feeling in the city that we’re punting this entire year trying to accumulate draft picks for an impending salary cap reckoning and rebuild. The primary reason to be hopeful about Barkley would probably be a potential trade, but his salary is very high and it remains to be seen if a) a team would be interested at the price and b) the Eagles would be interested with the return.

It’s not correct. This tile was set by someone who either didn’t know how to set tile correctly or didn’t care enough to take the time to do so. I say this as someone who has been setting tile for 25+ years.

I know he gets a lot of hate these days, but Dane Cook was always a really good “says it funny” comedian.
